Disc Golf Cart Pictures and ideas

Cart is looking pretty much the same, added my little chair cooler to the front, it fits in there pretty perfect, I just don't trust the cart with my big butt sitting there, so I still use my tripod chair. I have decided that I am going to cut a hole in some dx plastic and attach it to the rear wheels.
Yeah I dont think I would sit on anything that puts weight on the actual cart. Im not sure if you have seen how the chairs that mount onto the cart work or not but they actually have a spring in them that holds them up when not in use and when used allows them to go all the way to the ground so that the cart is not actually supporting your weight.

Since posting last I have purchased a BagBoy Quad cart and chair attachment and im not sure that I would recommend the BagBoy chair for the Quad cart. The chair was not designed for the Quad cart so you have to contact the company and have them send you a special adapter, free of charge, in order to use it. The Quad cart has a pretty narrow wheel base so the chair crowds the bag and makes it kind of inconvenient to sit on. Almost like you have to sit right on the edge. I use a Mahal so it is a wider bag then most but my wife uses a UPD Shift and feels the same way. No real experience with other bags so this may not be as much of an issue

I find overall it is easily as convenient to carry a stool on a cart. Same weight pretty much. more seating options. Not every round needs a seat/stool. Maybe less wear on the cart structure. Less specialised stuff to break.

Added an Upper Park Designs Rebel to my Bagboy Quad setup. It is a really nice bag for this cart. I have an AO soft cooler that I can hang behind the bag on the other side of the vertical tubes, but when full makes the cart feel feel like it could tip back easier than I would like. I'm thinking about adding a couple pounds to the very front of the cart when using the cooler. Will be keeping an eye out for an inconspicuous easy to attach weight.

How is the Rebel working for you? Does it work better for you then the Shift in your previous picture? My wife currently uses the Shift with her Quad cart and is not very happy with it and was considering upgrading to the Rebel but was not sure how sturdy the bag would be on the cart

@ Torpedo - What is her complaints about the shift? The shift + cart is the combo I was thinking of going with. I don't have either yet. Still in the planning stages.

The material is pretty lightweight so it can make the bag kind of floppy when attached to the cart. Her BagBoy Quad keeps it in place much better then my Clicgear 3.5 because of the double support columns. On the Clicgear the bottom corners have to be secured to each side of the cart or the bag will flop around to one side or other constantly. Her biggest complaint is putting discs back in the side pockets. The bags lack of form when attached to the cart makes her have to secure the bag before placing the disc back in the side pocket or it will flop over to the other side. When placing discs in the opposite side she has to actually walk around the cart to that side because it is difficult for her to stand on the other side, secure the bag, and reach across the bag to insert the disc. She is considering re organizing her discs to get her primary discs in the middle and on the left side of the bag but even with that the issue would still remain.

She has become very interested in the Rebel thought after seeing Tarpons setup and had me post the questions to him earlier since he has posted pictures with the Shift and Rebel. The vertical storage and easy access to primary disc storage on the Rebel is very appealing to her

Both the Shift and Rebel work fine in the Bagboy Quad. I fasten the chest strap (and waist strap on the Shift) around the support columns, neither bag moves at all. I've let the Quad run down a steep hill and nothing comes loose. I like the Rebel better just because it's bigger, has two bottle holders, and a nice spot to strap a folding chair. The Rebel would eliminate having discs on the side of the bag for your wife. Overall I prefer the Rebel as a cart bag.

What should I do?

So I am converting an old jogging stroller to a cart. What else should I add? Any ideas for a platform to let the discs sit on?

I'm thinking about making a pvc system for the discs.

Digging the chest and waist straps out today :) The Rebel really looks like a good cart bag with the vertical storage and open bottom for easy access. Does the bottom of the Rebel support the discs enough to prevent sagging? Is that a fishing reel in your bag?

Here is what I came up with. Spent $5 on the cart and about $4 on hardware. I already had the milk crate, bungies and cooler in the bottom. I am going to give carts a test run this fall and if I decide I like them buy a gggt cart or ridge roller after I save up funds.

I just got hold of a jogging stroller I am in the process of converting as well. I wanted to share this rig I came up with for an umbrella holder. I know there are other options available online, but this was fun to make. It's simply some 2" pvc with the bottom end capped off (drilled a drainage hole). There are three eye bolts to clamp the umbrella in place. The whole assembly is attached to the stroller frame with the u-bolt.

I am working on a few other simple tweaks. Going to add Velcro to the scorecard clipboard from the Trilogy Challenge so I can attach it to the console/organizer between the handle bars. Will post more pics once I've got it all done. Going to try it out at doubles league tomorrow.

I think you will find that you really like it.
You could always refine what you have, making it a little cleaner, more functional, and lighter.
Then just keep what you have.

No sagging so far. Still a great set up. There is a lot of water at some courses, I use floating discs over longer water carries. I use the collapsible rod and a topwater lure with a large treble on the back to retrieve discs when necessary.

For sure, and I might find that modifying my own design is the way to go. I am really looking forward to using this. Even though I am only 27 I still feel really beat up after 2 or so rounds. After years of basketball and lacrosse injuries my knees and ankles do not do well after a certain point. I see carts as a necesity for me if I plan on continuing to play in tournaments, which I do.

The only problem I see with this particular set up is the lack of a conveniant chair, which is why the gggt cart and ridge roller are appealing to me. I have room for a stool, but at 6'4" getting on and off a stool starts to aggravate my knees/butt.

my new cart. it's a work in progress as most of them probably are. thanks to whoever posted a similar cart early in this thread! I found this on amazon immediately after seeing what they did and had it hooked up within a week. I only added an extended handle and a piece of corrugated plastic to the bottom. the slots in the plastic allow me to easily secure the bag with the umbrella straps. I'm sure I'll have to upgrade the wheels at some point, but it works well at the park i play the most. My requirements were: a seat, lightweight, collapsible, holds my bag. square/boxy bags would fit a little better, but I don't use it on every course and don't feel like shuffling discs around

I finally got around to building my cart, now that the wifes is kinda done.
I have some other stuff still in mind, but....
It will require some shake down testing on what I have first.

Hmm interesting. Is the seat comfy? Looks nice and big vs a stool. Cool design!

the seat is comfortable for the size. looks are deceiving, haha, the whole thing looked larger online, so i was kinda surprised when it arrived. I'm 6'2", 195lbs and it holds me just fine. i guess it's about the size of the average stool I see people lugging around

I am loving the cart. Back and knees feel so much better after rounds.

I have this same cart. Did you modify the round bottom bag support to hold the rectangular cooler securely? Also, if you have a stool the camptime stool fits perfectly in the opening in front of the drink holder. Just drop it down in the space and it rides perfect
