 I also rotate my discs based on seasons, welcome to Michigan DG!
I basically have duplicates of my favorite discs and buy them in Blue and in Orange. For Spring and Summer, either one will work so I just go with whatever feels the best.
I switch to Blue only for fall, as the leaves have so much yellow, orange and red in them my blue stands out. Then back to Orange for Winter golf, as the blue doesnt do as well in the snow and sky reflection off the snow being light blue.
For me, the ones I avoid are Green, White and Black. Green is obvious. White tends to reflect its surroundings, so toss it in green bushes it can reflect surrounding colors and appear to blend in. Black, just too hard to find in shadows, woods, etc... Most those apply to my drivers, as I see a lot of blind holes and drives. Rarely if ever lose sight of my mids and putters, so no color restrictions on them.
