Nope, you can run up behind your disc as long as you don't pass your marker.

Yeah, as long as you're not in the ~30 ft. circle around the basket you can run up to take any shot as long as your release comes from behind or directly over your lie.

Too lazy to look up the PDGA rule wording with exact distances but someone else probably will...

ive seen alot of people run, jump, putt. there was a few in my group that did do it but they have all stopped now. we printed up the rule book and tried to follow all the rules but some idiot lost it so its kinda hard to look it up out on the course now.

Not only did he have a stool he has a competition bag and quads.

He could be one of those guys that starts something and goes out and blows a ton of money to get decked out in gear but sucks.

These guys may not be the best out there, but at least they have the most important thing about disc golf right: having fun.

As long as they are courteous players and remain respectful, I rather seem more groups of these kinds of players instead of a bunch of skilled d-bags roaming the course.
