I have had a somewhat recent epiphany with quite possibly a new addition to Jamie's Mt. Rushmore of molds....
THE THUNDERBIRD
I held off a long time from trying it as I figured I had unlimited Gateway control drivers at my disposal. Apaches, Diablo, Etc. All of those Gateway molds are fantastic but on a whim I tried a Champ Thundy and my game has really benefited.
My true golf distance sits around 375-400 on a good rip. The Thunderbird seems to eat up all the power I can give it and really just flies straight to fade out to around 350+. No gimmicks, no necessary turn angle... Just straight to fade bombs.
Fast-forward to my bag today : I have 4 Thundys in my bag and will reach for them any chance I get. They're unbelievable how consistently molded they are too. Pro, Champ and Star have all flown like Thunderbirds.
It's not often that I throw a new mold and think it will be in my bag forever... But I'm confident the Thunderbird will be there.
