if the bottom half of the disc was from the coyote the numbers would support that. the coyote is the least like the lycan in every category except diameter. i haven't held the disc, i was just saying it looks like the md2 bottom and i'm not the only one who made that observation. i just think it's funny that he was so zealous in his declaration that the lycan is pure coyote yet the rim numbers say something else.
Those are very rational thoughts mattw. My thoughts exactly. I think they finally got the coyote they wanted with the Lycan. It isn't really a buzzz or an md2. probably what the buzzz ss should have been. You could compare this disc to a lot of other midranges because it has qualities that are visible in the buzzz, md2, aurora ms, coyote, mako, etc. All those mids have similar profiles(not pieces) that create similar flight patterns.
This is neutral glidey mid. It has the control of a comet, but comes out of the hand as fast as buzzz type disc. I could compare it to every midrange expect that falls in the neutral category. It is just another midrange that is good at doing a lot of things, but isn't great at one thing(like the QMS, MD2, etc).
How does it fly on underpowered throws? I ask b/c zj's underpowered throws are probably like my regular powered throws.
Why can't everyone see that this is practically the same disc as the Coyote and is just Innova's way of suckering people into buy a "new" disc. Then go discontinue the Coyote and send it to be only available at the Factory Store for like $20 for a F2. LAME....
