I did pretty good today... if I was playing a game called "Hit the Trees". I was awesome at that! :)

Still a beautiful day and had fun.

I shot a 51 last night at High Sierra. It felt good to put together my first somewhat respectable 18-hole round since my injury last October, and my best score at the new course in Billings to boot! (Also had 2 pretty close ace runs with my champ banshee.)

It's awesome to have good disc conditions this early in the year! I'm excited for the season.

-2 and -6, so can't complain too much. First round should've been -3, but for a lapse of concentration on a putt on #17, can't deflect that one, knew right out of my hand it was going to miss  .

Second round, honestly, left feeling like I was robbed of a PB and the winter's best round by a putt that was "too perfect." Par putt on #13, it looked money, center and center, didn't even put too much power into it. Saw it hitting chains, turned around to pick up my bag, then hear "plop" sound from the direction of the basket, turn back and see my disc in front of the basket. Only way it came out was being too center, missing majority of the chains and bouncing back out the pole :wall: . Managed to birdie four of the last five holes to even my PB, making three solid putts.

-6 and -1, so another day with a great round and an okay round. First round started off abysmally, tried to go too left off the tee, hit a tree about 20' out, carding a bogey. I guess it put me in the "right sort of pissed" mood as after a par on #2, carded four birdies in a row, three on good putts plus a drop-in (teeshots in that stretch even included a very, very rare OH). Got another annoying full chains, but chain-out putt, but luckily was able to still bounce back and card some more birds, mostly on putts I oughta be making.

Second round started off completely opposite, Pinnacle Outlaw I threw the first round into the tree, this time went like it was supposed to and left a five-footer for bird. Probably got complacent and couldn't string together birdies, hell, had to make 40-footer par on one of the holes I had birdied the first round. I think teeshots left a bit more distance on the putts and the slightly altered putting stance* I tried using this weekend, it was just outside the comfy range.

* Went to a more upright, weight more on the front foot type of stance, seems to be working up to a certain distance, aren't going low or to either side as much as before, but range isn't yet as good as before.

Not bad so far! Threw Oakwood, didn't throw well. I think I wound up shooting a 61. Couple shanked drives, lots of cage clanks on putts. Had a lot of fun throwing my lids on the approach. Deadly accurate. Now heading to kaposia, will probably throw 2 rounds there and call it a day.

Played saugatuckdunes today in 40 degree weather. Snow was thick and soft had to spend extra time finding them. Didn't loose any and shot okay. Had a really long drive (for me) at about 325. 1 birdie putt through small trees and the rest were half par, half bogies. Good day.

I have been playing for about 21 years. i'm 47 and recovering from rotator cuff surgery (a year and two months since surgery) and feeling great. today my follow through mechanics took a jump since i started to change up my poor form. well today at Seneca Creek, everything clicked. my rotation and follow through off the tee is compact after a strong pull and snap. my follow through needed some serious changes...and it started with poor rotation. anyway, it was one of those moments out on the course when you know the days and hours of practice up to that point was all worth it. I played 9 holes with two discs and shot well. Love this game.

I didn't play great this weekend but I definitely had fun. Played 4 rounds in 3 days...I think the last time I did that was before my son was born (he turned 4 last November)

Friday I shot a fairly solid -3 at Oakland top course. 4 birdies and a bogey (missed a par putt). Saturday I played the back course at Oakland and shot E, in pretty windy conditions. Sunday I got to play a new course in Holts Summit (and it was very windy yesterday too), first round doubles we shot 54 which was just a very solid round, and then singles I got beat up on the last 9 holes shooting 64. I think I was just simply tired, I'm not used to playing so much golf.

Hopefully if I can get my stamina back up and lose about 10lbs, I can think about playing a 3-4 round weekend tournament. I haven't played a tournament in nearly 3 years.

I played in the snow, yet again. Hopefully the last such round this winter. It has been mild compared to the last couple but I'm ready for mud golf. Rollers and snow don't mix well.

I got my azz handed to me on Sunday playing Iron Hill...Gold to Gold layout. Made some really amazing throws and had some incredible par saves but overall I got my butt kicked. I shot +16 for the Gold to Gold layout and that's with taking a 9 one of the par 5's. I got on the trouble and couldn't for the live of me get out of the trees. Gripenemy ended up shooting +11 and Nate ended up tying my score of +16. Iron Hill is always a favorite of mine to remind me that there's always something to work on in this crazy game.

I was feeling pretty good about my game after shooting even par two weeks ago at Camp Sankanac. I figured Iron Hill would be a good test to see where my game was. I felt pretty good after the first six holes and then...got my junk kicked in :wall:

I hope you guys at least had fun.

The problem for me is that I haven't played Iron Hill for years. I played it back when it was first put in and had not been back until this past weekend. If you don't know the lines you need to hit and the landing zones on the technical holes on the back, it can be a demoralizing beat down. I lost a disc on hole 14. It must have buried itself under the leaves. I honestly just wanted to get off the course at the end. However, after digesting my round for a few days I am eager to give it another try and see if I can improve.

I didn't really play. But I did go out and throw some in the field for the first time in a while since the snow is receding. I learned my backhand is pretty bad, but better than I thought. I also learned I like Shields.

Also almost lost my TC Shield. In an open field. That purple disc just blends in so well with the white, brown, and green out there.
