Wich disc is best for flat distance speed drives around 300-500ft ?

It's just you, there's no contradiction in my post.

I think his point was that 375' is beyond most players' max D, and well beyond most players' consistent full-strength driving distance. If you need to drive 375' with consistent accuracy to be able to compete, then yes there is a heavy premium on distance.

First 400ft on course throw

Got my first 400 foot throw on a hole yesterday at McCulloh Park in Muncie, IN on Hole 9, ten feet to the left of the basket for an easy bird. Great feeling, big flex shot with a star wraith.

Practice, practice, practice.

I am 16 and have been playing for 5.5 years but my longest throws only dies within the 450-500.I have started to use a 360 turnaround when going for maximum distance but i am still working on it.

really?? i call BS....im still trying to get my 100' + putts down...99' and down im shooting 99% but after 100' it drops to 98%...sssshhhhhiiiiiitttttttttttttttt.......if you really can thats great...but like others have said WHY would you need more than that.....work on your short game, thats where its all at...as far as the distance, well, your guess is as good as mine

lol good luck with doing 360's during competitive disc golf. I guess it works though since all the top pros do it during a round... Oh wait, they don't.
Also this year at the USDGC I watched a guy throw 3 OB because he thought he would be cool and do a 360. On the 4th shot he did a regular shot and lo and behold he was in bounds. I will add that I was sitting next to a top pro that found it kind of funny he was doing it in a tourney.

No need to tell me to work on my short game,I am working on that but the distance comes with my long training. My putting is pretty good, last year I had 18 putts out of 20 from 27 feet as average.

When i mean "going for maximum distance" then i mean when i am trying to set my personal best distance throw which i am working hard on to accomplish.
When i compete i only throw regular x-step with RHBH and for trubbel/upshots sometimes x-step RHFH.

Most pros throw over 375', you don't need to be able to throw 450+' to cash. 375+' is good enough to cash.

There wasn't any contradiction in what you meant, but how you worded it was counter-intuitive.

I phrased my post clearly and concise.
Anyone who can throw 375+ feet consistently, can cash in the open division. It's not about who throws the farthest, it's about accuracy, approach/recovery, and putting.

The OP wants to know how to throw 500+', and my post states that a consistent 375'+ throw is good enough to cash. In my second sentence, I reiterate that it's not about who throws the farthest..it's about accuracy, approach/recovery, and putting. No contradiction there.

Maybe Eric has reading comprehension difficulties.

What you said made sense. What I am saying is that the way you worded it implied this logic:

If you can throw long (375+ feet), you can cash.

It doesn't matter if you can throw long.

That's not what you meant, and in the context of what else you said, it was clear what your meaning was. However, since you made those two sentences into a different paragraph, it made your post sound counter-intuitive.

I know that was a wayyyyyy too long explanation of the one sentence I posted, but I just want to be clear. You're definitely a smart player according to what you've posted, and I wasn't saying anything about your competence.

I think you're under the impression that 375 feet is long, but it isn't long for open players. Most open players throw around 400 feet. The original poster claims to be able to throw over 450 feet and wants to be able to throw over 500 feet. My post simply states that 375 feet is sufficient to cash. The above contradiction in bold, is your statement, not mine. Re-read my post below.

most open players throw 400'? really? is that from what you have seen or heard? from what i have seen from playing open, most CANNOT throw 400'..putting and accuracy are far much more important than distance anyway.

I would have to agree especially with the putting and accuracy point. I have seen Michael Johansen throw well over 400' while practicing but have rarely seen him go for it all during a tournament. I'm pretty sure this is because he realizes that accuracy is much more important then distance. He also has the smoothest form I have ever seen. If you don't believe me go buy the Clash at Renny and skip to the end where he is playing Renny Original.

Stop hatin, sometimes throwing far doesn't have to do with being good in a tourney. Hell, I love to just go chuck. My farthest was and R-Pro Boss around 420', it went out of my practice field lol. Wish I could play dg with you searchingfordistance, I don't know many other people my age with such a passion for the sport.

From what I have seen, most can throw 400'.

To broad of a distance range!! That could be almost any disc. I would have to say a Roc or TL for 300ft. And I would say 90% of open players can drive 400ft.
