Nikko Joins Team MVP

It was all my idea. Nikko and I actually talk and text more than you guys know.

We will get this figured out like Emac's ITB.

He's not the first.

John E. did it last year. There may have been others waaay back in the day. But John E. and Nikko are the most high profile. The key factory with both of them is Gateway. I think Gateway knows what side their bread is buttered on (putters) and don't mind sharing the glory since Wizards sell so much...to say nothing of Magics, Voodoos, Warlocks, Chiefs, et al.

I have no firsthand knowledge but it's been said that Nikko and the Ricos have been close for awhile, and there is that old video of Nikko bombing some Legacy drivers. Their owner, Steve Rico, still carries a mixed bag, so it makes sense that he would allow his players to do the same. And getting Nikko and Sarah Hokum for 2015 are big moves for the Legacy brand.

MVP has approached disc golf non-conventionally since their inception, so it makes sense that they would also get on board with this. A big name, current, superstar in the disc golf world like Nikko is a big step for MVP.

So it all makes sense in the end. Works out well for everyone involved...now let's see if this is the way of the future for disc golf.

He's using Wizards, the BEST driving putter. No need for a good driving putter.

I've thrown both, Envys are way better than Wizards for driving. Although for how Nikko putts, Wizards are perfect

I can picture it now..

Nikko will get a Signature Baseline Ion and the moment he has a chance to win a bug tourney with a 30ft putt it will hit off the cage, stand up and roll 60ft and he will go absolutely ballistic and trash MVP's image forever.

You heard it here first, MVP rollaway ballistic Nikko Memes forever.

xD

But isn't he using Wizards?

Hey, Jen! I was asking about you the other day. Good to "see" you. :)

Aren't people allowed to be excited? Or does that immediately notify the fun police?

That's what I love about this move for Nikko. Not only do I feel multi-sponsor bags relieve a little pressure off of a player it also IMO is the only way disc golf will get big. Manufactures need to work together and support each other. Nikko has talked a lot about this in previous things and years as far as where he sees the sport and really what he is doing can't be argued with. The dude kills it at disc golf and is trying to build a brand-- KEEP HATING OR HAVE SOME FUN!!!

No it's cool. I like Nikko and MVP/axiom. I just didn't understand the three ace videos of Nikko with non-MVP discs...

I'm good with whatever ;)
