So I have played around with the RDG putters, and the MVP putters, but haven't quite found what I like. I didn't like the MVP feel for putting and the RDG putters are a bit brickish. I want something like the Scale, but with better glide. I realize it is a take on the wizard, but the the high shoulder of the scale fits in my hand better than the gradual curve of the wizard, aviar and so forth. I was thinking about trying out a focus. My ideal numbers would be something like 3/4/0/1. Suggestions?

Discs I have ruled out. Envy, chief, warlock, voodoo colt, stud, proxy, atom, ion, wizard, anode.

Have you tried a P2? Fills out the hand nicely and you can get a variety of different stabilities from their different plastics.

Have not tried it, but if it has an Aviar top it is likely to have more dome than I want

hmmm maybe Yeti Aviar? They are all flat/concave and still has that aviar glide ..

I have fondled one, but it felt pretty shallow, maybe a little too much so. Need to give it a throw my local PIAS has plenty.

Zero Medium Pure? Very flat and actually had too much glide for me.

I should have mentioned I prefer at least a microbead. The pure is close to the magic for me, and I like the magic better.

Saw a whale for the first time yesterday, don't know if it will fill your hand the way you want. It's pretty rounded all the way through, kinda looked like a wizard.

The g9i Wizards are pretty awesome for throwing- much flatter top than evos and the S series. The RDG fossil fuels are similar.

The shield flies almost exactly like you want and has a small bead too.

I would suggest a DX Colt.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I ruled that out in the first post.

So thoughts on the dagger vs macana vs the gauntlet for what I seek? (I am sure there is a thread explaining these will go look for it)

Also what about the hunter? Anybody have experience there?

Dagger was a tiny bit understable for me, Macana is shaped almost identical to a wizard, but flies how you would like- haven't thrown a gauntlet yet

Thought about that and a Whale... anybody compare the two?

It has been a while since I threw a Whale but if I remember right the Whale has a little bit more glide.

I found the Shield more comfortable in my hand then the Whale. The Whale felt very similar to an Aviar which I don't like.

Hunter is beadless. The Prowler from Legacy has a bead and is flat. Not realyl sure how glidey it is; never gave them a chance.

I'm not sure what your definition of glidey is but the Judge has a pretty flat top and is glidey enough for my push putt.

I glanced through the thread before posting, so here's my $0.02:

First, you might want to wait until the V-Aviar comes out rather than the Whale. The Whale is based on the Big Bead Aviar Driver mold, while the V-Aviar is based on the Aviar P&A mold (that is the Nova and McPro Aviar, etc. base).

Second, I'd suggest you look at the Pure (3,3,0,0). The Opto Pure is flat, it flies straight, it goes far (it's almost midrange length out of a putter). You could try Zero Hard (my favorite), or Zero Medium as a putting putter.

I also would recommend looking at the Judge (2,4,0, 0.5)(really should be 3,4,0,1) or Warden (2,4,0,0.5). The Judge is beaded, the Warden is not. They're both flat, fairly shallow. I use a Lucid Judge for throwing shots I want to put a touch of anny on, and the Classic Warden (equivalent of the Zero Hard plastic) is my in-the-circle putter.

You've ruled out my other suggestions, so I'll leave it to the above for now...

P1X in P or D line might be an option. It's Aviar-like I guess, but neutral, glidey, and has a microbead. It's deeper than Pures, Colts, etc.
