Disc Golf Backpack Reviews

Salut/Bonjour!

If anyone is looking for a new backpack, I have 3 bag reviews I strongly recommend you check out (links below). Started a disc golf channel and feel I have a lot to offer the public. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know! And like/subscribe to inspire me to create new content. Disc golf is a great game and I'm hoping to become an informative channel to promote and help inform communities.

P.s I'm not sponsored by any of these companies

I got the Athletico Disc Golf Backpack in 2018 but I needed that eventually for my Vertex Angler Backpack's metal seat. I got the Vertex Angler Backpack in 2017 and by late 2019 I needed to replace my Vertex backpack I fixed a pocket two times that year on the seat. I fixed the bottom this year 2020 by adding clear flex seal spray to the bottom of the bag so I could have a more durable bag as that bottom is a bit lacking in protection. I fit the Vertex seat on by a hole in the top and bottom of each side pocket. The Vertex Angler Backpack I currently use the seat and frame from was going oop when I got the bag.

If I did not have the Bag being held up by the seat frame I would recommend getting some corrugated plastic for the bag at least to use on the non cooler side as that is a bit saggy.

I took the seat with its frame off the bag to use for my Athletico Disc Golf Backpack last year. Being this was a fishing backpack, it did not last for disc golf as it was not meant to have discs in it. The front pocket the really small one had failed 2 times last year despite fixing it. With the Disc golf backpack on the seat the bag is actually lighter even with the Flex Seal on the bottom. The Fishing bag was not meant to be used the way I did with saftey pins crimped shut on the main lower pocket. I did however with the Athletico safety pin crimped shut the back ~1/2 of the side pockets closed as I wanted to use the full pocket and not have everything come spilling out if I did open the side pocket too far.

Introduction video to my Disc Golf channel (Justin Dubé). My goal is to simply create informative videos about Disc golf to help promote the sport and provide aide to those interested. I hope you enjoy and please subscriber/like the videos if you are enjoying the content! Merci :)

I know some pretty good DGers without a PDGA number. The intro video is a little tacky, but!- I think it's best to let his content speak for itself. So we will see!

He posted a couple bag review links in bags/eq/etc. I'm settled on a bag so I didn't watch.

If someone is going to review or suggest discs, etc, I like seeing their PDGA history (and or) skill level if it's available. It helps put things into perspective.

I don't disagree. It's a good measuring stick, for sure.

I suppose I try to temper negative thoughts at start, try to give them the benefit of the doubt.

A boss is not a good beginner disc, though. I think that should be known...

New Disc Golf Channel for YouTube. Looking to promote the sport and provide informative/helpful videos! Hope you guys/gals enjoy :) Liking and Subscribing will increase the level of content over time.

Thanks and please enjoy!

I don't believe he has one.:\

Looking at getting one this year (when the whole Covid-19 subsides). I have been playing for well over 10 years, and have been more serious in the last 5. On UDisc, I shoot an average of -2.5 (honestly). I'm a good putter and shoot consistently under par. I've had 6 aces and the highest score I've shot is -10.

Am I trying to go pro? No, and neither should most people since it's hard to make a living lol. It's a fun game that I'd like to promote and help others learn the game along the way. I'm using my professional skills as a teacher to drive this channel.

Hope this helps clarify the question and the lack of a PDGA #

Agreed, a mako or wombat are good starting discs (wish I could go back and clarify). I was more trying to explain that if you want to learn how to use your body to get further distance, it's a good disc to practice with.

Trying to be good enough to play pro has nothing to do with making a living. Why should most people not try to better themselves and get better at a sport that they love to play? Seems like an odd thing to preach. Also you still shouldnt be telling beginners to throw a boss to teach their bodies how to get more distance. Thats not a good way to get better and will more likely do more harm than good.
