Paul McBeth Bought a McLaren

Nice purchase. Not sure I'd've bought a McLaren over a Lambo in this situation (both for resale and reliability sake), but this isn't that bad of a purchase. He likely won't lose that much on it when it's time to sell unless the model is a total failure for the company. Supercars (Maserati, Rover, and Jaguar don't count in this category) rarely suffer the same depreciation "mortals' cars" do.

Plus... unless he dials back his touring quite a bit, its not like he's gonna have a lot of time to drive the thing.

You've gotta think between Foundation, his PM line disc sales, Addidas, Grip, plus the 1mil contract this is easily within the range of "affordable" for Mcbeth. Meanwhile you've got Simon rolling around in a $60k Audi, Eagle just bought a Lexus and as far as I've seen those guys don't have nearly the same size or quantity of income streams.

Pretty awesome that top DG athletes are getting to the point where not only can they scrape out a living, but they can afford a few luxuries in life too.

Considering Median income in the US was $68k and avg new car price was $38k last year I'd wager to guess that Mcbeth is right around avg for income vs car cost ratio.

Whether that's the best financial decision is entirely different.
