Looking to buy a true putter in the near future. At the moment i'm using an ontario roc to do the job, but i want something slower for those closer putts. Any suggestions?

For the record, Putts in my area are generally Flat straight putts. looking for a putter to play with in the 10-35 foot range from the hole

My vote is Voodoo. To me there is no better feeling putter in the hand. But I putt with Magics so what do I know?

I's say rhyho, but the closest thing you have up there is the banger. I'd say banger.

If you're putting with a roc, it's probably followed with a decent amount of fade at the end. Both rhyno and banger will keep that fade that you're used to seeing so you're not trying to get used to a str8-line putter.

.......but if you are looking for that, go magic!!!

Keep the votes coming. I know there are a LARGE number of putters out there, i was just listing off ones i knew of. I shop online, so most anything is an option

Get a 173-174 Soft Magnet. Its an amazeing putter . Will hole any line you put on it, and sticks to the chains very well. I just used mine today to shoot -1 on a course that I have been trying to break par on for years.

have a sss magic and voodoo here, accompanied by rhynos. so don't need the magic really...

....but they're soft plastics are awsome. grippy but firm. really diggin the sss

Birdie

Just because everyone needs to buy one and then wonder.... why?

Funny thing is I was nailing puts in my practice basket the other day with my Birdie (took it out at a party for the kids to throw).

I'm going to go ahead and say wizard, if you have a place where you can feel them prior to purchase I'd go and do that because the plastics change a lot, find one that is comfortable to you.

I'd suggest feeling the putters. it is all about what feels best for you. most putters are going to fly the same from 30ft and in, so it is whatever you feel comfortable with.

I personally use a Star Aviar P+A, which feels great in my hand. (although it doesn't grab the chains well when wet/raining, in that case i switch to DX aviar)

The Wizard has a cult following, although I have never tried one. The Focus, by discraft people say is almost the same disc as the wizard, and I like the feel of the ESP focus.

Wizard, KC Pro Aviar, or Focus. Any of those is a great putter inside the circle, does a good job even in wind, and is a solid driving putter.

i voted other...i throw voodoos, but as kwick noted, for short range putting it's most important to find a disc that feels comfortable in your hand and allows you a consistently clean release as all putters will fly more or less the same at those speeds and for those distances.

go fondle some plastic, and make your own decision.

Wizard, Warlock, Voodoo, KC Avair, Focus, Challenger, Banger-GT (and probably some others I'm missing). Those discs will all be predictible from 0-300'+ of power.

Use to throw an aviar, switched to the Wizard and it completely changed my game. If you are looking for something straight I would go with a SS or SSS Magic.
