Critters on the course you ran into...

Was at the Z the other day and on hole 15 along the drop off in to the creek was about a 6 ft. snake skin strung through some bushes. Went to pick it up and save it and realized that it was almost condom-like in texture -- still moist.

"Haha," I laugh, "who knows, we could be sitting right on top of it!!!"

5ft away, our buddy yells..

"THERE IT IS!!!"

....6ft Cotton Mouth!!! bout as thick as a coke can!!! slithering down the bank and into the creek.

full skin is pretty bad a$$ by the way.

saw some dinosaurs feeding on trees during a sunrise round after a hearty breakfast of mushrooms. I still look over in that clearing every time I play that course. Just hoping... FYI it was between #13 and 14 on the left at Bear Branch

I have a hard enough time watching out for the fire ants in the south, those guys suck!

I was playing Alexander Park in Lawrenceville GA. Being a hot GA day I had my shirt off. On one of the holes I set my bag down on a fire ant bed and didn't realize it. Putted out, put my putter back in my bag, put my arms through both straps of the backpack style straps. about 30 seconds later my back was on fire. Got about 20 some odd fire and stings all over my back. Not pretty. The Giant spider at the beginning of the thread is called a Savannah Banana Spider. I've seen them on the course in Pooler GA, FREAKING HUGE, apparently their bite feels like a cigarette burn. I've seen deer, turtles, hawks, the usual southern critters. On the course down in Pooler, a couple of giant mosquitos worked together to try to fly away with me. they got me about 3 feet off the ground before I swatted them away with a disc.

Here is a squirrel that let me get pretty close.

a hawk lives at my small home course in a residential area. he leaves animal pieces all over the park. sometimes hangs out on the fence a few feet behind one of the pads
