La Mirada is awesome, but it is pretty far south.
Oak Grove is a good one to play, for the historical aspect if nothing else. There is usually a few groups hanging out wiling to show you around...

Dragons are still a great choice for the kids if you're having to play around water. Fairly easy to get, lightweight, and what kid wouldn't want to throw a Dragon! I'm gonna second looking into Lighting discs for floating putters.

ugh...dumb dumb dumb. Its pretty clear that everyone was informed of the rules against alcohol during the competition, but then to break that rule AND be caught on camera doing it? UGH.

Maybe not quite in the "30 for 30" mold, but I think someone should follow Bradley Williams around with a camera crew for the next two years.
