New to Syracuse, NY [looking for league info]

Yeah, I heard they didn't realize they let the grass grow super long and then give it to a local farmer... or something like that. Good call on Apple Farm and MCC. Gold course at MCC is legit. Way to make it worse! :P

New to Syracuse, NY [looking for league info]

I clicked "join group" on the Facebook group a week ago but it's still pending... do you know the person who moderates it?

Do you have any club meetings scheduled? I would love to be involved and be of any sort of help I can be.

New to Syracuse, NY [looking for league info]

Dude... you have no idea. I'm missing Ellison, Parma, Chili, and Basil like crazy. All amazing courses with much different feels to them. I lived in Williamson, where a course was just installed last year biking distance from my house, cutting my drive to the closest course from 25 minutes to 5...

New to Syracuse, NY [looking for league info]

I just moved from Rochester to Syracuse. I went onto the CNYDGA Website for info about leagues here, but things look pretty outdated. League info was from 2013. I'm curious if there are any natives to Syracuse, NY on here that can provide any info about the local disc golf scene. Thanks in...

Thoughts on standardizing baskets for tournaments?

I'm curious if we fast forward 20 years from now if there will simply be tournament courses that are only used for professional tournaments where specific guidelines are met leaving the everyday parks/courses for the local players.. Although the more I think about it, wavering from some of the...

Thoughts on standardizing baskets for tournaments?

Wow... this is quite a discussion brewing here. Wasn't expecting this much chatter. Pretty solid thoughts all around. I think my major thought was chains. Some of them are single. Some of them are double. Then I saw the new Mach X basket by DGA advertised as "redefining the disc golf basket"...

Met my disc golfing neighbor yesterday

This makes me hopeful. I'm moving next Friday from a more rural setting to a suburban one. I have lots of space to ring some chains without disturbing neighbors. Won't be the case in my next place. But, maybe I should send out the bat signal with a couple chains and see if anyone bites. Either...

Thoughts on standardizing baskets for tournaments?

As I'm watching different tournaments, they advertise different things from the sponsors. One of them are baskets which makes me curious what the overall opinion might be about standardizing baskets for major tournaments (ie. Pro Tour, World Tour, etc.). Most sports have a standard "goal"...

What Is/Was Your Favorite Now Extinct Course?

What happened to Hornets Nest? That was one of my favorite courses to play when I visited family once a year in NC. Bummer!

2016 World Tour . live footage?

Makes sense. Thanks for the info. Caught this live. Was so pumped that Avery was recording and sending it our way.

2016 World Tour . live footage?

Gotcha. They did the La Mirada rounds 2 & 3 and I was under the assumption that they were really pushing the whole "media coverage like disc golf has never seen" thing as ton of live footage. I guess I interpreted it wrong. Oh well... looking forward to the edited rounds whenever they come out.

2016 World Tour . live footage?

I thought there was supposed to be live footage of the World Tour? Weren't they making a big deal about it leading into the whole thing... or am I off on this?

Long Island - where to play 1 round

I may be in Long Island (Hampstead) over the weekend and was curious where any of you locals might suggest someone playing if they only have time for one round (3-4 hour time slot w/ driving). Thanks in advance.

    Optional Relief Clarification

So, I've never played in a tournament, but my friends and I try to play as close to tournament rules as possible during our rounds. This rule has us scratching our heads. I'm specifically talking about rule 803.02 Optional Relief and Optional Re-throw. Here are some of my/our specific...
