If you're looking for specific discs, I recommend following some of your favorite suppliers/manufacturers on Twitter. Sometimes they will post before they are about to release a series of discs on their website. You have to be quick about it. It's the only way to get tour-series discs nowadays...

There's always been an initial negative reaction to companies trying to make money in the disc golf community. I'm not sure why we resist it. Do we not want to support those in the community that are literally evolving the sport? Perhaps it's because Disc Golf has traditionally been very low...

I like the Anvil suggestions. I'll also add the Caiman to the mix. People say it's just a beadless Gator, but I've found it's a little less stable and flies farther than a Gator. I would recommend Star plastic.
