In Michigan there are several world class brewers with world class DG courses in their backyards... Grand Rapids DG & Founders or Perrin brewing Traverse City DG & Shorts or Right Brain Kalamazoo DG & Bells Northern Detroit suburbs & Kuhnhenn brewing.

Thanks for the help...prolly see you at Morley Monday, jtrod. Looking forward to some winter golf and beers. I plan on hitting up the San Diego local area first and then heading north to Brengle and Kit later in the week, maybe Tuesday or Wednesday.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the full-bodied red's you are suggesting might overwhelm the subtle, yet rich flavor of the fois. I would rather try a nice Riesling, perhaps a bottle of Château Ste. Michelle & Dr. Loosen Eroica Riesling, 2000. And lose the Au Poivre. A simple pan-sear should do.

In our 'group', if you land in a garbage can, you have to go sit in the car for an hour with the windows up and the heat on.
