    [Innova] Innova Sonic

Anybody have any of the heavy (above 165) sonics for sale? I have no clue why Innova quit producing them. Shoot, I bought four or five a year.

Review by Rockyraccoon in course Maggie

4.50 star(s) A must play! -Practice basket. -Two concrete tees. -Multiple pin placements. -Benches at every tee. -Trash cans throughout course. -Great signage and trails are easy to follow. -Lot's of variety in every hole, requiring a good repertoire of shots. -A lot of shade due to the beautiful live...

    Hardest hole you have played

Roane County Hole 13. 420 feet. This hole is heavily wooded and the terrain slopes from left to right for the entire length of the hole. To make matters worse, Watts Bar Lake borders the entire hole on the downhill side of the slop. From the tee you're faced with a straight line across a...

Review by Rockyraccoon in course The Sinks

4.50 star(s) Awesome course. This is a great course with many perks. Each hole features two concrete tee pads, benches and multiple pin placements.....some even have multiple pins. Great variety of shots requiring straight, hyzer and anny lines. Mostly wooded holes all offer throwable lines although some are...

    Putter Comparison Questions

I don't suppose these discs resemble the Rhino or Hydra, but the cover me pretty well on the same type shots. Discraft Esp Zone. As previously mentioned.....A great disc for long straight, then hyzer type approaches up to about 150'. Always works great for spike hyzers of the same distances...

Review by Rockyraccoon in course Loudon Municipal Park DGC

1.50 star(s) Needs redesign! This course is located in a nice, multi use park. It's less than two minutes off of I-75, along with several stores and drive throughs. It's almost always empty, so if quiet solitude is desired....this course fits the bill. One of the best local courses to take beginning disc...

    [Recommend] best upshoting disc?

I agree on the Sonic. Great upshot disc and finesse putter anywhere from 100' in. The great control and ability to make just about any line have taken 2 - 3 strokes off my rounds.

Spin Putters - Type of Disc

I generally work a Magnet and a Soft Magnet for most of my putts. They pretty much hold any line I need to put them on and are fairly consistent for me. Now I'll tell you a new discs thats made it into my bag for situational putting. It's the Innova Sonic. This is a great spin style putter. A...

[Discraft] Difference between Elite Z and Crystal

As the title says....I'm wondering what the differences are between Discraft's Elite Z and Crystal plastics? I've gathered from folks around the course and online that Crystal is more sought after than Z....so I was hoping to find out what the big deal is.

what are some good dg shoes from KEEN?

I've worn the Targhee II's now since April. My last pair of shoes were Merrel Moabs. The comparison of the two saw many different highs and lows. The Keen's were by far the most water proof. Still, dry even in the wettest conditions. The moabs leaked after only a few months. The moabs were...

    DGCR ACES 2011

I agree. I've returned many discs, and I think each one builds up "awesome shot" karma. I've had four aces over the past few months. the most recent two were last week on 1-28-11 and then the same hole three days later on the 31st. I know I'm not that good so it's gotta be the karma! :)

    [Innova] The Orc

     Absolutely! incredible disc that is super versatile. Especially in DX plastic. I carry a Star, a Champion, a beat in DX, and a fresh out of the box DX almost always.

    DGCR Aces 2010

Two aces.... I played 3 rounds at one of my local courses today. I aced #5 during the first round and then again in the second. Same disc each time....different throws for sure. First time was just a gorgeous throw fading right into the chains. Second time I turned it over and was sailing...

[Discraft] Discraft Done Writing Weights on Discs?

Does your local Disc Golf Shop not have digital scales on the counter? I never have trusted the inked weights or stickers (which I hate on the disc). As mentioned, sometimes the difference is eye opening!

Need a driver for a tall player

I'm also pretty tall, not quite 6'8" but tall nevertheless at 6'6". I started out driving with a Cyclone. I can't see anything wrong with recommending it as it is a great disc, that I still throw often. Overall, I can't get the big arm distance with it that I can get with a well thrown, high...

Latest 2 ... think the Vinyl I own is too thin cause I can't not bleed

Is it just me, or am I the only one that got little transformers joke there. "more than meets the eye".

I just received my golden retriever (disc retriever) today...

Don't worry, You won't. Those things are horrible. Unless you can see the disc and sandy bottom....it's just about useless.
