    2023 Pro Worlds - Smuggler's Notch

Isaac was as classy as he always is. The interviews were pretty neutral. But if he wanted to use his victory speech to recite a sermon, he absolutely could have. He won the world championships--he can say whatever he wants.

    2023 LVC

A few observations from an interesting round... Eagle is absolutely annihilating his drives. Super fun to watch. He eagled hole 2, had a 40' eagle putt (pin-high left) on another par 4, and was in great position to attack for eagle again on the par 5. But WOW is he giving away a lot of...

The Inevitable 2023 Pros Switching Sponsors Thread

"Excited to see Simon throw MVP discs like the Crave, Hex, Envy, and Proxy" Crave- Axiom Hex- Axiom Envy- Axiom Proxy- Axiom Interesting that all of MVP's best molds seem to belong to Axiom. When does Axiom decide to start sponsoring people?

    Paige Pierce #29190

...and I'm going to disagree with that. You throw a hyzer poorly, you miss by 10'. That's what makes it such a great option on shots like the one Paige had.

Review by AHagglund in course Wildlife Prairie Park DGC

4.50 star(s) An Epic Signature hole after signature hole. Tremendous elevation gain, with several platform shots 3 300'+ water carries. A few open bombers mixed into the heavily wooded scenery. The course has basically every type of hole you could think of. The park itself is beautiful, equipment is in...

    Paige Pierce #29190

A hyzer, if the hole allows it, is 100% the most accurate and consistent type of shot. To paraphrase Omar Little, "Even if you miss you can't miss." I remember watching 2021 worlds as it was happening, and when I saw Paige was going straight at the pin instead of a stock Zone approach, I...

Nikko LoCastro intimidating a PDGA official at European Open '22

"I understand we can't absolve Josh completely here, but it's flat-out wrong to suggest it was 100% his fault and force him to take 100% of the blame. The other guy could have just as easily gotten out of the way (dodging either left or right would have worked!) but instead chose to stand...

    2022 European Open July 21-24

What a truly ridiculous win for Eagle. I know it has been said, but his first week back? Without his most dependable shot his forehand, not even for routine pitchouts? Then you have to beat the GOAT, who is going to average 1072ish golf over four rounds? AND that same supremely-confident...

Nikko LoCastro intimidating a PDGA official at European Open '22

Has to be a suspension. Just has to. Disc golf is supposed to be a self-policing sport, but the whole system falls apart if you're allowed to intimidate and threaten the people who try to enforce the rules. The fact that Nikko was willing to do this to a rules official...on camera...in front...

    2022 European Open July 21-24

Anything less than a 2022/2023 suspension from DGPT would surprise me. Him not getting DQ'd would be an absolute shock.

Review by AHagglund in course Eagle Point Park

2.50 star(s) Two season course -The land is excellent for a disc golf course. Vast, scenic, hilly, wooded, etc. -Not played very much. It is not at all uncommon to have the place to yourself. -Requires a tremendous variety of shots, and lefties in particulr will like it. -No simple 2s from the long tees...

    USWDGC 2022

When Hailey is on, she looks like she should be #1 in the world. Elite distance BH and FH and can make putts from anywhere. I'm not sure anyone has more tools than she does. For her not to even be in the top ten (world ranking) is crazy.

The Inevitable 2022 Pros Switching Sponsors Thread

I wouldn't even say Ohn is "one of" the best putters in FPO..she's been far and away the best this year. She's at 83/28 C1/C2, first place by a large margin in both categories. Calvin Heimburg, by comparison, is 84/26.

Do Nate Doss signature TI Buzzz's from 2013ish carry any value?

Review by AHagglund in course Lake Malone DGC

1.00 star(s) Don't throw any disc you aren't prepared to lose -The holes themselves are actually designed pretty well. -relatively challenging. Par is a good score here Not maintained at all. Very, very hard to play a full round here without losing a disc. Overgrown to the point that there are no lines on...

Review by AHagglund in course Camden Park - II

4.50 star(s) A work of Art. -The course is absolutely beautiful. Deep ravines and near-100% canopy cover -Lots of different pin placements, and they rotate through fairly often. -Very efficient use of space. Even though the holes look and feel remote, they are surprisingly close together. The course can...

DGPT: 2021 Ledgestone Insurance Open Aug 5-8

"All I'm saying is that you can't make the comparison with ratings to courses with such different SSAs." Ok I guess, but you absolutely should be able to. Comparing different data sets is one of the basic tasks the field of statistics routinely completes. But of course, don't want to go down...

DGPT: 2021 Ledgestone Insurance Open Aug 5-8

The rating system has no idea what to do with courses like these. If Kyle would have shot -21 on this course, that would have been almost as good as Paul's -17 at Fountain Hills. But the rating system is fine!

DGPT: Discraft's Great Lakes Open July 23-25

Eagle is ridiculous. He often looks lost when attempting touch/finesse shots that, frankly, I could execute--and I wonder how he could ever win tournaments. But then, he basically parks a 430' long, 60 ft uphill hole with a spike hyzer, and follows it up a few holes later by lacing a 400'...

    Disc Prices Out of Control

Why are disc prices shooting up so much? Well, when I read your post noting that Halo Terns cost $28 each at Infinite Discs, my first instinct was not "Geez that's expensive, but instead "Infinite Discs got a restock of Halo Terns??!! and had mine purchased before I had even read all of the...
