My personal top 5 favorites:

It was fun joining you for a couple of these! I think you've got these 2 out of order. (Although my memory of the trip is far from perfect.)

Yup, Turkey Hill before CRYSP Pop-Up.

So I kept track of all the courses I bagged in what months in Wisconsin this year.

According to my list, I bagged 228 total WI courses starting in January of 2022.

Was hoping to hit 250 but I feel like this isn't bad. I also got another 100+ Illinois courses this year as well. Perhaps next year I will close out on Wisconsin even though I'm sure there's gonna be new 2023 courses popping up all over making my goal a lot harder. Wish me luck.

And here I thought my 40 new courses for '22 was pretty good.

I played 347 unique courses in 2022.

292 of those were courses that I played for the first time.

Here's the state breakdown for all 347:

Arkansas - 69
Oklahoma - 56
Alabama - 46
Illinois - 37
Louisiana - 34
Missouri - 33
Florida - 33
Texas - 25
Mississippi - 13
Tennessee - 1

Some people won't see that many courses in their lifetime.

I can't help but wonder what the fine citizens of the Volunteer State did, that made you only play 1 of their courses? :p

LOL. Well, I didn't stay a single night in Tennessee this year. The 1 that I played was just across the state line from Huntsville, Alabama, as I was traveling through there playing. I've played 70 in Tennessee though so I don't think they can take great offense.

Posted this a few weeks ago on my FB page, sure some of you have already seen this

2022, what a year. Does not look like I will be adding any more courses this month so I thought I would go ahead and post this now instead of later.

28 Disc Golf days
22,567 miles
184 new courses
10 States
2406 holes
2 Aces in 2 states

Played courses in
3 Colorado
4 California
6 New Mexico
8 Arkansas
13 Tennessee
17 Louisiana
22 Missouri
29 Oklahoma
39 Kansas
43 Texas

We did have a couple of trips this year including hitting the CA and CO courses. I did count the TN trip as a disc golf day because I hit 7 courses in one day, then 1 course on the way up and 1 on the way home.
I drove more miles and played less courses than years past.

Not sure what 2023 will hold. Working on trying to get 2 days off in a row so I can take longer trips. Either sleep in the car overnight, camp, or get a cheap hotel.
Either way, I do have 4 or 5 trips "planned" in my future if I can including finishing LA, Jackson MS area, SW MO and Clearing out some more southern Kansas. Almost enough for another Oklahoma Trip, San Antonio/Austin trip and Houston/SE Texas Trip. Oh, and waiting for Mike Brown to finish his new courses for an East Texas/LA trip.

I also posted this one a week later. I still have not gone back and figured out 2017 or 2016 although I do have my "Disc Golf Days" listed on this page under "Road Trips"

Well darn, this didn't work cutting and pasting. It shows correct in my edit, but I loose the spacing when posting.

Year 2022 2021 2020 2019 2018
DG Days 28 26 17 25 23
Miles 22,567 19,425 13,460 15,717 17,494
Courses 184 198 153 224 174
Holes 2406 2458 2188 3002 2312
Aces 2 4 2 1 4
I would have to go back and add up ones older, got these numbers from posts I made at the end of each year.

Your yearly new course average is close to my lifetime total. 186.6 vs 194 lol

I need to get out more.

Dang, for all those who say disc golf isn't a sport or doesn't require fitness, I'd love to see them do some of the escapades mentioned on this thread.

I realize how woefully out of shape I have gotten with 3 courses in one day now about my max. But I strive to get that way up in 2023, because the better shape I am in, the more holes I can play. Maybe shouldn't be my primary motivation to get in shape...but it is. :)

Hell, I'd like to see them play one course and say that.

Take your pick of North Boundary, Toboggan, Lake Marshall, etc...

Or anyone whose played all 5 Highbridge Hills courses in the same day.

That is quite a workout for the ol' legs n hammies.

I played the other four besides Gold in a single day in late September. I was exhausted by the end! I was thankful for the cold and cloudy weather. Couldn't imagine trying to play that much there in the heat of summer.

Not sure if you've been out to Mont Du Lac yet but I played the Eagle's Peak course this past summer in 90 degree heat / no wind and basically had to lay down on the hillside near hole 15's basket for a good 5 minutes because I was so damn exhausted trudging up and down those ski hills :|

I paid the $20 daily fee to play one out of four courses on site but luckily when I came back the next day, the weather was like 10 degrees cooler but with a LOT of wind and a tiny bit of rain. The guy at the desk just said screw it and didn't charge me another day fee. I think he felt bad that I only played one course the day before and I also had a hard time finding exactly where to go since the layout was recently updated and they didn't have any recent maps printed nor was uDisc's layout updated.

So yea, when people think disc golf isn't a real sport, bring them to a ski hill course for their first round and see if they still hold the same opinion.
