Critters on the course you ran into...

Ha, ha. Perhaps the "grass" in this grassshopper's name was a particular variety...

If I'd flushed it from the side of my house, it would have landed on a course. If that's close enough.

It's the only one I've seen, in 18 years here.

But it's in the same style as Slaigh's walking stick. I thought these things were supposed to be inconspicuous.

I love catching those guys in flight when they're just coasting a few feet above the lake...A very cool thing to see. I don't know if I've ever seen one just chilling on the grass. In trees, yes. But not on the ground like that.
Nature rules.
