If I'd flushed it from the side of my house, it would have landed on a course. If that's close enough.
It's the only one I've seen, in 18 years here.
But it's in the same style as Slaigh's walking stick. I thought these things were supposed to be inconspicuous.

Great Blue Heron by the hole 8 tee at Clark's Run. Cell phone is sub-optimal for wildlife photography.
Lots of young Bambis, too, much to Red Dog's excitement.
I love catching those guys in flight when they're just coasting a few feet above the lake...A very cool thing to see. I don't know if I've ever seen one just chilling on the grass. In trees, yes. But not on the ground like that.
Nature rules.

It's really weird. I see black squirrels to the north and the south, but have never seen one in my area. I've got to drive an hour in either direction to see them.

I posted a pic of a black squirrel years and years ago and someone made fun of me since they were so common in their area. DGCR is so much kinder and gentler these days.
