New Bag Company - Grip Equipment

Yes, Jeremy and I are working together to honor the pre-order commitments DD made. The same goes for those of you who pre-ordered through LDS.

But make no mistake we have offered no pre-orders since last summer and have not authorized any company to do so on our behalf.

The only way to get in on the second run from here on out is through GripEQ.com and the waiting list mentioned above.

Thanks for the reply.

Does it not hold discs anymore?

You know darn well what I mean.

I'm certainly inclined to agree with TImko. Bust it out and use that bad boy! It'll feel good on your back!

We still stand behind the first run, so it might be worth even more now that there is so few?

Seriously, you just hold on to unused $200 bags? You don't think you can sell it? Is it broken? What were you planning on doing with it when the 2nd run did eventually come out?

I've been in a very serious mood lately because of work, so a lot of jokes are going right over my head. I'm taking a lot of flack on the KCFDC board because of this as well...

I'll buy it
it is one of the First Runs though...so I will be seeking a discount

I know you were kidding, but you know as well as I do everyone is thinking that.

For the record, I never used mine because I've been cock deep in snow for the last 4 months.

Which means there was about 2" of snow on the ground...

Man, what the hell is wrong with me? Just pulled the trigger on one that I won't see until March. (hopefully, ha!) I really like my siman already but there some stuff about this bag that really intrigues me. Definitely don't need them both though so one of them will be up for sale within a month or so of tryouts.

huge lols @ Jeronimo

i mean HUGE and for reals LOUD out-loud.

also... me trying to hold onto $150 in store credit at a disc shop, VERY DIFFICULT. like a porn star's first day on the job, tryin to hang onto that currency. time for a shopping spree.

how are you not ALWAYS on a shopping spree???
GREAT question ManU.
my bag hasn't changed much for the last few years... i have tons of backups for most of what i throw... i had steady access to Austin's finest used bin (reports may differ, but only cuz i picked it over before it hit the shelf!)... and touching hundreds to thousands of discs a day, only the bestest of the bestest flinches my disc acquirer. i also get ~100-150 discs a year for artwork payment.

I lol'd.

So how does this bag feel slung over just one shoulder? I've got a Revo Carolina bag now, and it seems 90% of the time I just put it over one shoulder and it's uncomfortable and totally off balance. The only time I wear it properly is on the walk to the first hole and whenever it's going to be a long hike to the next tee. So I'm thinking of getting a backpack style bag...either this or the Revo Dual. I've yet to see one of these in-person, but I should see TRB this weekend at FDR...hopefully he'll be using his so I can get a look at it.

These ride nicely even slung over one shoulder. The bag rides high, so it doesn't move around as much as other bags while you are walking. Very easy to slip on and off with the one shoulder deal. The straps are nice and thin, but have some padding so they won't dig into your shoulder.

FYI... via the grip eq site:

We've modified the patterns ever so slightly to make SURE your putters would fit in the quivver pocket amongst other small details of the fit and finish that didn't come off the factory line like they did in the protos and samples... (water bottle holder snugness, etc.)

Also, the market seemed almost offended that we used a tough Poly instead of Nylon, so we're switching to a 1680d Nylon exterior. And we're adding a second styling option with a sexy two-tone look... Oooh-la-la!

The price will remain 180usd+shipping.

**Update** After more deliberations over materials we have upgraded the body fabric from 1680d Nylon to 1000d Cordura! Don't let the smaller number fool you, though... we've made this choice because DuPont brand Cordura fabric is even more consistent and abrasion resistant than the 1680d Nylon.

The 1680d is better at dissipating ballistic energy, but worse at getting scraped against rocks, branches, and parking lots. For stopping bullets you want layers and layers of 1680d Nylon, but for holding your precious bombs, you want Cordura baby!

Despite mine being a busted one, I still enjoy it. It has lost its "stiffness" and definitely broke in nicely. I might actually be sad when it gets replaced with a new one
