[Question] What is your favorite disc golf plastic?

I throw Champion almost exclusively. Exceptions are Star Destroyers and baseline/DX putters.

The older pearly champ plastic is the best ever. I would take it over CE any day...

Drivers - westside tournament
Fairway - MVP neutron
Mid - discraft esp
Putter - gateway s-series SSS
Overall - westside tournament, also because it looks as nice as it feels

Drivers- Star
FD- Pinnacle 0r Champ
MIds- DX or a Pro type
Putter- Gravity or protege

Stiff KC Pro. If I could, I'd throw every disc in stiff KC Pro. Obviously thats not possible, so:

Drivers: Jolly Launcher/Opto (tie)
Fairways: Star/Icon (same thing pretty much)
Mids: Stiff KC Pro
Putters: Stiff KC Pro

Facebook is crap so I'll answer here.

Discraft - Elite Z,Elite X and ESP

Latitude 64 -Opto and Gold Line

Gateway - Super Stupid Soft and Eraser Plastic.

If you just want one favorite it would be Gold Line by Latitude 64 hands down. Best Grip and wear in a disc I've ever had my hands on.

I'm on facebook and yes I agree it's lame :)
So I'll vote here, and DGCR is where things matter anyhow :)
Innova Star is probably my favorite (and echo star) for glide, grip, flight, and I also like champion as well for flight and sometimes glide. I think this is a great combo as each are good at different things. Also Dx is under-rated but probably the best baseline plastic out there.
I also really like Fuzion from DD. Feels like a star/champ hybird, but moreso champ.
Opto and GL from Latitude is also very nice. Amazing glide.

Proline from DGA is amazing, great grip, goes far, glides well.
Z line from Discraft isn't my favorite, but it's awesome at things like rollers and skips. Overall a solid plastic and will never ever die.

Old Millenium plastic (the pro one) feels really good/grippy, but not amazed by its flight.

Haven't thrown Prodigy, but that plastic feels really really good.

Oh yea, JK Pro and 3x Yeti Pro are awesome feeling for putters, and catch well. Nothing really beats the old vintage dx and pro plastics for grip.

Mcpro plastic is great for clean release putting, and also catches chain well.

KC pro is great for rocs for flight, but the feel is not a favorite.

That's all I know, haven't tried other companies.

Distance Drivers:Star
Fairway and Mids: Champion
Putters: dx or kc

Drivers : Tournament
Mids : Lucid
Putters : Eraser

Overall : Lucid

Drivers and mids: x-link
Putters: x-link firm
Tricky approach shots: x-link soft

Innova Candy Pro.

I have a face and many books, but never combined the two.

Until they come up with somthing that has all of the:
glide of Pro
feel of Elite X
durability of Z/Champ
grip of DX
flexibility of FLX

... I will have no favorite.
However, if you rated plastic types in each of these categpries (assuming equal weighting for each attribute), I suspect that ESP/Star (and simliar) plastic would end up with the highest overall rating.

That said, I certainly seem to prefer specific molds in certain plastics, as do many other players.

Drivers and mids: x-link
Putters: x-link firm
Tricky approach shots: x-link soft
^FAIL! not plastic. :p

Distance Drivers - Prodigy 400g - Awesome grip and very durable
Fairway Drivers - Innova Star - Good grip, wears slowly but consistently
Midrange - all little bit of everything - Z and Champ for things I want to stay stable, KC and ESP for quicker beat in for understable/turnovers
Putters - Innova DX - cheap, easy to grip, plentiful

innova proline (ce blend from early this millenium) for drivers
dx from the late 90's for putters and mids (firm yet still grippy)

Drivers - Old pearly Innova plastic, Salient's liquid plastic
Mids - Discraft Z or Cryztal plastic, also Legacy's Pinnacle
Putters - Gummy champ, black or white 86 softie plastic, Innova Pro plastic

I prefer to thow a gold line disc from Latitude 64. They are durable and I feel once the "Break In" their flight pattern doesnt change as much!
