[Latitude] It exists!!! The Opto Pure Thread

Pures are my main throwing putters (bookended by a Polecat and a Zone). I only have 'em in Zero plastic, but I've been wanting to pick up an Opto or GL. Seems like Optos are readily available, so I don't think they're OOP.

People still throwing Opto Pures? I remember that being a DGCR darling a few years back...

Nice necro bump.

A few months back I re-tried the Opto Pure for straight-to-understable shots. Also tried the Gold Line Pure for those shots. They did okay, but I decided to go in another direction.

I've been throwing a GL Pure a little bit lately and it's a solid flip to drift right thrower. It's really funny too b/c it has a Harp dye max type stamp on it, flippiest Harp ever lol. Reminds me of a putter version of the Core. I should get an Opto Pure just for DGCR nostalgia.

Overall yes...I do like some of Lat64s more classic molds though and my first ace was an Opto Pure (River, Sinus, Pure, Striker, Vision etc.)

My first Eagle was with a Recycled Pure. Love the flight and the feel, but I debagged it as I can't get a replacement if I lose/break it.

Lat64 has some very nice molds, but the worst premium plastic in the business.

Yeah...I'm gonna disagree with you on that one.

GL will beat in, but once it finds it's sweet spot, it will stay there for a long time.

That was my bag with a core and primitus or whatever the hell that stupid "signature lat 64 dome" was driver in the grip line plastic that made the oddest sound hitting trees or chains. Like a low rubber drum beat.

**** those old strikers were the straightest things.... Loved those stupid ass clear greens :|

Primitus and Mirus were both drivers with the Lat dome.

Then there was the Medius in the mid slot. Primitus actually flew pretty well for me. The Medius was just awful, though.

Once Zero Medium Pures came out, I switched over to them for putting. And then realized I really liked the plastic for throwing and switched entirely over for my straight putter shots.

Gonna have to agree with those saying lat64 has some of the worst premium plastic in the game. Opto x is great but that's how I think all premiums should be. I like stiff plastic especially for putters and the new runs are like z flx from discraft. Maybe I'll just have to suck it up and get a 25$ opto x pure...

It's all personal preference. For me, Innova Star plastic is too slick and many runs are too firm, while G* (or Z flx) are too floppy in most weather conditions. Trilogy premium plastic fits right in the middle, which for me is perfect. I actually think Opto-X comes out as a little too firm of a plastic for my grip.

We are incredibly lucky to live in 2019, where we have an abundance of quality manufacturers that make so many taste-specific mold/plastic combos.

G* is floppy? What molds have you fondled? I would say pliable, but the molds I've thrown maintain their shape when gravity's involved. I think Blowfly when I hear floppy.

Teebird, FD, Shryke. Not Blowfly level of floppy. More like a Z FLX or Lat64 Snowline.
