played 3 rounds today, played back 18 at la mirada(+2) front 18(even) then played Huntington beach(-1) overall not a bad day considering i have only been playing since Dec of last year. getting up early to play my local course in the morning hoping for sub par.

met up with the homie dan at 9:30am for a cold round at Starring Lake. craaaaazy wind all over the place, but we weren't in the mood to play a stupid conservative wind round so the scores weren't pretty.

I played a personal best round (on that course) at a local unsanctioned tourney today to win the advanced grand masters division, and also had 2 separate winning raffle tickets for a t-shirt and a bag of Chex snack mix. I was stoked, and i'm off to Horning's Hideout tomorrow morning for a 3 day DG campout.

Played the 18 hole flat course here in my hometown yesterday. Finished +4 (all par 3's) had a couple of nice drives that I parked and got 2 birdies. But man, the holes I messed up on really threw me off. But I beat my cousin so it was okay :)

Then met up with some friends and tossed the first 9 holes before I had to leave for work with nothing but a putter and occasionally my driver, and kept it a cool -1 till the 7th hole where I bogey and stayed at even the rest of the course.

Not playing this morning because its snowing, thanks a lot michigan. But I have the next 3 days off of work so you know where I will be!

Oh, man am I beat. Four rounds at Valmont, in Boulder. It wasn't until #3 that I showed up and scored 6 under. A couple of chuckers in that round beat me with 8 and 9, though. A beautiful day for golf, now to recoup for a week, and crush thru it again next saturday.

Played the Seviren Lang Memorial yesterday. First round rated 889 (highest rated so far this year).
Got really tired second round and stunk it up. Great course and had a lot of fun.

Bag tag challenge at Lafreniere Park this morning. Played alright except for a disappointing middle (14-18) that really set me back. Had a solid start and finished strong (+1 on the final 6). Had a bunch of life-saving upshots (miracle spike hyzer on 22!) that kept me in the game. Still looking to put together a complete round on this course - lots of birdie opportunities that I need to take advantage of more consistently (only had one today).

Played Idlewild for the first time today. Didn't keep score since I was trying to find my way around. Started the round shooting like crap but did get into a groove towards the end and managed to string a few birdies together.

On Friday I played Mt. Airy Forest for the first time and managed to shoot even there my first time out. Great couple courses. I look forward to playing them many times this summer!

6 weeks since i last played and my ankle is still a little jacked.

Played our membership tourney at Airfield park in Eldon, MO and shot my personal best round of 3 under 51 in the first round and 58 (lots of wind). This was my first tournament win, not a PDGA sanctioned event, but it was nice to card a win!

played 3 rounds over the past couple days at white clay in DE. shot -5, -6, -7. gonna head out tomorrow to try and make it -8

I didn't think I was going to be able to play in the local handicap today, due to Mother's Day....but then my wife told me that I could go for the singles, if I didn't stay for the doubles round. Deal!!

Started off poorly, then bagged a few birdies....followed by a SIX! :(

Still, a bad day of DG is better than no DG at all!

Won my group's bag tag/trophy twice in a row! Was hovering at a -5 until I realized this would be my best score ever. Proceeded to crash and burn and ended up with a -3. Best thing about it: I'm playing with a torn ACL. I'm about to cancel my surgery just in case I play worse when I heal up.:D

I shot my worst rated tournament round of my life Saturday. So that made me feel good about myself! Followed it up with an average round that at least left me not hating my disc life for my drive home. not playing until tmrw again though, need a mental cleansing.

rolled to bryant at about 11, noticed a "community service group" laying new wood chips around each basket and teepad. the new stuff is real fine grain mulch, as opposed to the big chips theyve had, which were seriously the most slippery surface i've ever encountered in disc golf. snow and ice stopped my discs better.

anyways i pulled some birdies out in front of the crew, but had to skip 3 holes because of where they were set up, and then it started to rain and got more windy and so i just parred everything and left. spring weather is pretty annoying.

threw at Carly's Playground (blue to blue) awesome day at an awesome course! +8 and I was stoked for that one.

Shot my two best tournament rounds to date on Saturday (970/974). Was good enough to win Int by 5 strokes and would have won Adv by a stroke. Also would have placed 2nd in Open (only 3 open players lol). Time to move up I guess.

I attribute my good play to a few recent changes. I've been trying a push putt for a year or so after spin putting for 5 years. 2 weeks ago I went back to the spin putt after several bad tournament rounds and have been nailing putts ever since. This could be more of a mental thing, but I'm just more comfortable with the spin putt.

5 weeks ago I started running 3 to 4 times a week. I've noticed a significant increase in energy, stamina, and leg strength. I just feel better all around, mentally and physically. This helped me get through the 2nd round without much fatigue where I would usually start to get tired and mentally drained.
