Lulz. I'm sorry but that name just sounds funny. It'll probably have a sweet stamp though.
That's exactly what I said a day or two ago when I saw the news. haha

This is not necessarily true. There are plenty of injection molded parts that utilize rotary platens, we use them on a daily basis at the company I work for. There are videos floating around that show MVP using two different molds, but that doesn't mean it's the only way to mold a two-shot disc. I really need to put a technical thread together...
I have to disagree. Sure the PD & Thunderbird molds are similar but PDs have more of a forward fade. I bought a few Thunderbirds in hopes of being able to replace my PDs. My Champ Thunderbirds just can't compete with my C-PDs.

Not saying it's going to fly like one, but P2 do not really fade all that much IMO. They're listed as a fade of 1 for a reason.
I just read that after this initial release in XT they'll be releasing production runs first in G*, Star and Starlite; then later in Champ, Blizzard and Dx and finally in KC Pro, McPro and RPro. So it looks like they're releasing the whale in pods.
Does anyone know the release date for the Whale?
Beadless driving putter. Stable without being overstable. Pure, P2, PA2, Warden, Anode all have a touch more stability than a P&A Aviar making them ideal for this kind of thing. I'm personally more a fan of the relatively shallow Pure (in Opto) but they all hit that spot.
there is a gap there
Seriously this does sound interesting. If its super beefy they should have called it the Cow. That would've been awesome
