Nikko Joins Team MVP

Funny how a few months time changes perspective.

No ive always thought he was an idiot but his lack of doing **** with a good sponsor just confirmed it. As a didc golfer i love watching the guy. As for any kind of business sense or personal motivation i see very little desire to be successful.

If people are willing [and actually able] to help grow your brand as well as theirs and make $ its stupid to let fall behind you. Dude cant even respond to any of his social media or personal inquiries and just posts a bunch of free spirit BS.

Look, I think most of us takes Disc Golf a little too serious, I know I am guilty of this. It seems to me that Disc Golf is a life or death thing to Nikko. He is driven so hard to be the best. Even look at the way he does a run up, he is putting his everything into it every time.
Perhaps he is so driven that he cannot see that there is a business aspect to these contracts that he has to meet. Perhaps for someone like him, disc sponsorship is bad for both sides of the contract.

The richest athletes in the world are that way due to sponsors. Regardless if its TV cos paying for team game rights or a sport drink wanting you in a commerical retail products will make more $ for anyone than any salary or whateverrrr.

Hes dumb.

Then: MVP! MVP! NIKKO! NIKKO

Now: Nikko is the suck.

Common sense. He did nothing for MVP really and from the effort which i tried to make something happen opinions have changed. Its all about experiences and clearly you need to live more or something. You can find my posts on his FB pages from month back expressing the same well b4 this thread was bumped.

I wonder how much help MVP was giving him? I could see him dropping them if they weren't going to support his touring efforts in a real ($$$) way. Everyone seems to be blaming Nikko for going back on sponsorship but I would drop somebody too if all they sent was like 10 discs and a MikeC jersey.

Nikko in a practice round and Nikko in a tournament round are two different things. I am pretty sure he knows he needs to work on keeping his head in the game and not being prone to fits of outrage, and I am pretty sure he is working on it.

The were selling sig Locastro stamps at one point. Gotta figure he was getting a cut of that

MVP isn't doing a good job picking Pros to throw their discs. Maybe they need to hire a new decision maker, I mean they haven't even made a Soft Proxy yet:doh:

Soft Proxy:popcorn:

Dude got on Italian television.

Not as impressive as having 10,000+ posts on DCGR, but you have to give him some credit.

So...? If only people filmed half of what goes on around here with 10x the effort. There are PE teachers who don't even post here which have done big things to get DG in schools locally with a huge market for it all which sponsors are located within. I mean sure going to Italy looks cool but does very little for any sponsor your are apart of unless you actually follow thru.
