[Help] 5-6 disc bag - how would you cover the bases.

10/10 175 11x CAL Teebird: Hyzers, headwinds, control driver
7/10 175 DX Teebird: Anhyzers, tailwinds, max distance driver
7/10 180 KC Pro Roc: Workhorse Mid
9/10 175 S Wizard: Upshots, approach, driving putter
8/10 173 SSS OG Wizard: Putting
10/10 Polecat: Gotta have a lid.

hmm...
Fresh Wizard
Seasoned Wizard for straight/turnover drives and approaches
Seasoned Straight KC/DX Roc
Nice Beefy Q Sentinel
Patriot (not sure about plastics for this maker)
C-PD (preferably a nice overstable one to cover Firebird-esque shots and also reliable distance)

This OR depending on course:

Fresh Wizard
Seasoned Wizard (covers a bit of beat roc shots)
Newish Roc
Patriot
OLF
Firebird

From my POV
Putting putter & straight to US approach - Beat BT Shield or an Aviar
OS approach & wind putter - BT Harp
General midrange - Beat KC Roc (dislike the feel, but the disc works)
Control fade/straight - Opto Escape
Control turn/straight - Star Sidewinder
Utility - Firebird

I like this thread. It's like watching someone trying to herd cats. :)

I'm still laughing at this five minutes later. :D

It's so funny because ALL threads are like this. And this is after DRB said he would go with BuzzChief's suggestion.

I played 1.3 QOLF, pinnacle Patriot, Sanny Q Sent, beefy Lex (white and yellows are much beefier than pinks), Polecat. 1 stroke off last night's round with a full bag. I missed a neutral Roc. I'm going to cycle through the on topic recommendations for my Saturday morning rounds. Forgot how good a training tool this can be. Really makes you find creative shotmaking options (new discs and different lines) and learn specific discs. Thanks for the suggestions, all.

Hee. "...Stroke off..."

Super simple and no real gaps. Forehands with FB anything else with PD and roc, upshot and putt with wizard.

It is great fun using your discs for lines that you never would have before.

Good luck messing around with your bag. :D

For now, this is what I would carry since I am experimenting with potential changes to my bag.

G-Star Wraith/Pro SL: Distance driver
Echo Star Roadrunner: Roller
Star Firebird: RHFH shots and all trouble shots
Star Leopard: Tight woods
Champion Roc+: Anything between 100-225 feet, flex shots using annie
JK Pro Aviar: All putting

McPro Aviar - putting only
XT Nova - close up shots
McPro Roc3 - turnover/strait mid
Champion Roc3 - stable mid
Champion thunderbird - go to fairway driver
Star Destroyer - go to distance driver

I better make a post that doesn't follow instructions too.

SS Wizard
Beat R-Pro Polecat
DX Cobra
S Warrior
Lightly worn X XL
FLX Avenger

This thread has really come unhinged. No one is reading the OP. Or any of the posts really. People just talking to hear themselves talk. Fun to be sure. But not on topic.

Thanks to those of you paying attention.

I have been wanting to do a permanent small bag and rolled with 5 for a couple months last summer and I shot just as well. When I have my full bag it's between 12-15 which is still somewhat minimal. This spring I'm gonna bag 3 and see how it goes to ease back into the full season.
(My trial 3 disc bag: Volt-Vector-Ion old school MVP :) )

So I'll throw out 3 discs in your sig. Although I'm not too familiar with a couple of them

Pd-Roc-Wiz

The Roc and Wiz are staples or sure. For drivers the Pd/OLF/or TB could work depending on the course and or conditions. I chose the Pd as a middle ground that could handle wind and be powered down if needed. I love minimal bags, makes you really know what your discs can do, and keeps you decisive.

lol, I blame your title... but yeah its a given here at DGCR. Just click last post, post your thoughts, ignore the OP or any other comments and then take someone elses random comment personally and respond to it.

I mean did you expect more from a pick your disc kind of thread?! :D ...PD and PC game over'

I knew where it was going to end up Aim. still....

It has been an eye opener, and rather amusing too.
