Review by byebyebirdie in course Meeman-Shelby State Park - West

3.00 star(s) Wild Wild West Nice short wooded course adjacent to Meeman-Shelby State Park - East. The course is great for both beginners and more advanced players. -You don't need a bag full of discs to shoot well and most players can get by using only a mid-range and a putter. -Compared to the East course...

3.50 star(s) The Beast This course is great for both beginners and more advanced players. -You don't need a bag full of discs to shoot well and most players can get by using only a mid-range and a putter -Unlike some wooded courses the fairways are well defined and don't have an abundance of trees...

Do you ever decline an offer to play through?

If I'm playing a course for the first time I'll usually decline so I can find my way to the next hole easily

Review by byebyebirdie in course Shelby Farms - Old Layout

2.50 star(s) Not great, not horrible Open course on moderately flat terrain. If you're the player who likes "grip & rip" courses then this is for you. On most holes there are hardly any trees or other obstacles between the tees and the baskets. Considering the very open layout the holes are not too long...

4.50 star(s) Not far from a 5 A beautiful 18 hole course with a variety of pin placements. 4 possible pin placements for almost every hole. One elevated basket can be played on 2 different holes. Excellent signage and the current pin in play is marked on each sign (a very nice feature). Trash cans & benches...

3.50 star(s) Green and Clean Nice mix of long open fairways and holes throwing into or out of wooded areas. Bring discs for max distance but you'll also need discs for tight placement shots. Good signage and nice course flow. I was most impressed with the maintenance of this course. The grass was VERY well...

Review by byebyebirdie in course Morristown Kiwanis DGC

3.00 star(s) Nice short wooded course Nice short 18 hole course on an neat landscape. Beautiful rock formations and sink holes bordered by a mix of cedar and old oak forest. Most of the fairways are well defined unlike some comparable technical/wooded courses. Has a nice mix of pin placements that require a...

How did you manage this? Were you throwing at Mason jars? I wonder if you have better odds of this happening or getting an ace..ha

    Longer mid dilemma

Agree. Who cares about what each disc is 'supposed' to be for. Just throw whatever works best for you

Tell me what's wrong with Driver selection; and be as brutal as you want.

This. Maybe try something around the 9-11 speed range. I've got some seasoned Valkyries & Orcs that throw quite often

    Putter ????

I second the Yeti Pro. I like a putter with a firm rim and the disc feels very comfortable in my hand. You might but want to go to your local shop and hold the Yeti Pro, KC Pro, and JK Pro...just see which one feels more comfortable for you and give it a shot.

My experience with the Stradle Putt

I also sometimes have trouble keeping my balance using the straddle putt (as in having to step forward). Overall I like how it helps me get into more of a rhythm by swinging my arm
