Lower Power Thrower - Do I really Need Overstable driver??

Good choice on the Banshee. I love my 175g DX Leopard. Throw a little farther than you and I tried to cover that spot with a 168g Champ Teebird. It always felt too beefy and I would over-torque the thing ... too much OAT and it would flip hard and never come back ... lost it in a pond last...

best disc you have ever lost?

Lost my first and favorite disc ... turned over my Blue 170g DX Leopard today on hole 14 at Preisker Park in Santa Maria, CA. Long hole, west facing, wide open, small pond on right side, way out of play though ... decent wind out of the NNW ... turned it over and right into the drink. Hyzer...

    Discs for beginner female?

Any putter recommendations and weights? Maybe thinking of getting a Dart for her. I know it is personal preference, but the local Play It Again doesn't have much (no dedicated store that I know of) ... I have a 171g DX Aviar P&A, 175g R-Pro Aviar for her to try too. Any weight or putter...

    Discs for beginner female?

Others with actual responses, Thanks! roadtripstuff, If you haven't played Belmont in Dayton and the courses over there, def take a trip! I love my Leopard, so I will let her try that and continue to let her work with the 149g DX Cobra. Just want to give her some discs that will provide the...

    Discs for beginner female?

Hippy, Thanks for the mature, thoughtful reply! Quite apropos given your wave quote. You must be very lonely. When you are ready to surf some real waves, come out to Pismo ... I will just buy a variety of discs ranging from 150-165 for new players to try. Guess this topic has been beaten...

    Discs for beginner female?

Took the girlfriend for first disc golf round. To keep things simple, I brought my 175g DX Roc for me and a 149 DX Cobra for. She is petite at 5'3" <120lbs, age 27, but played softball (infield) in high school and currently plays in a slow pitch league. She had trouble throwing backhand with...

    Frolf vs. Disc Golf

My brother got me into disc golf. My first course was Deming Park in Terre Haute, IN. All the local college kids there used the term "frolf". It seemed a bit hippie at the time, but I think they almost use it as a term of endearment for the sport .... "You wanna frolf later today?"; "Let's...

Post a cool disc golf photo

Nikon L3 It is just an old Nikon Coolpix L3 5.1MP point and shoot set on auto. It actually has some pretty slow shutter lag, but I timed my brother's drive out just perfect.

Dayton, OHIO: Largest BYOP Doubles Tournament of the Year

Ale Fest I'll be hitting Ale Fest at 2:00pm in Carillon Park instead (already bought my tickets at $30ea) ... too bad, my bro is coming in town and we are both regular rec players that would have had a good time and neither of us have played in a tourny before. Hope it goes well and that HZ...

    Thoughts on the Spider?

I do like throwing my Classic Aviar, but I need to bridge the gap between it and the Leopard. I will probably try a Buzzz, Panther and Skeeter, but the Skeeters glide makes me think it might overlap with the Leopard. I prefer the smaller diameter discs, but I think the Buzzz falls somewhere...
