I have 2 purple icon 167, and they were flippy out the gate. I have a red icon 175 that's real beat in and its my go to distance driver, fh about 450'. I had a 167 pinnacle that was really beat and was dead straight. Love the cannon!

I've seen guys throw these discs about 550"+, they appeared to fly as the ratings say. Cannon had a lot of turn and a lot of fade and the rampage barely turned and faded hard.

I use a buzzz and comet for mids, I only bust out the Leo's if I'm playing a really long but tight course. Buzzz and comet for up to 300', Sidewinder and boss for up to 400'.
I have 3 boys, best advise I can give is to not give advise unless he asks. My 12 year old is more interested in the disc names and stamps. He can throw pretty good with the "right" discs, but has more fun throwing high speed drivers with cool names...rampage,destroyer,katanas.... its all about...
