Review by jtreadwell in course Forest Glen

0.50 star(s) Terrible. Just.... terrible - Nice baskets - Onsite camping - Makes other courses look better? - Little to no disc golf experience is evidenced in the design. - Natural and rough teepads - Thickly wooded fairways with hoards of tiny trees This is the only course within an hour of me that I've...

    Bragging about my league

Nice work!! It's always amazing to me how enthusiasm can replicate itself in the right group. I run an annual indoor putting league every winter and know from experience it's not easy to grow and maintain any kind of weekly league. The first year it was run by a buddy of mine who, while well...

    Open hole shot selection

For me, it depends on how far I'm going. If it's open and in the 200 - 220ft range I'm almost always tossing a thumber at it. Why? Because I've practiced that shot in an open field enough to know how to do it. Same thing applies to closer and farther ranging shots. There's no right or wrong shot...

Review by jtreadwell in course Burnsboro DGC

2.50 star(s) A different type of course - Great atmosphere! This place simply oozes good disc golf vibes. - Plenty of ace runs and birdie opportunities will make for an exciting round. - The short length makes squeezing in a round a piece of cake. - The course is very well established and has been...

    Tee pad alternatives for dirt

Have you thought about contacting local stables and asking about old horse mats? They work pretty well and if they're older you could likely get em cheap. Personally I don't like wood chips over just bare ground, but if the alternative is mud... As for carpet, maybe turn the carpet upside down...

    Most Aces in a Day?

The most recent one? Pretty sure it was only like 17 (he got tired and stopped running it I imagine) They're tiny holes. 155 to just over 200ft. Still really good though.

    Most Embarrassing Disc Golf Moment

Had my first mental game meltdown in years playing with 5 of my teammates the other day. We were just playing casual dubs, but we're super competitive and these were some of the best guys on the team. I couldn't make a putt, couldn't get off the tee, and couldn't keep my sh*t together at all. I...

2017 Idlewild Open Aug. 17-19 Burlington, Ky

MJ has jedi powers when it comes to spotting discs. My buddy and I took a road trip to play with pros and when we played with MJ, he not only would never lose his disc, but was able to direct us to any lost discs of ours from the other side of the fairway. :hfive:

Do 'soft' plastic putters catch chains better?

I've seen more bounce outs from 4S wizards than any of my other putters I've used. They're money discs, don't get me wrong, but in my experience, not because they stick better

Most Holes Played in 24 Hours

Exactly. I'm pretty sure it's a Guinness World record (though I personally find GWR kinda a joke) that he's going for. And yeah, even with 70 - 120ft holes, a hole every 30 seconds is still a blistering pace for 24 hours straight. I think it calculated out to around 64 miles but don't quote me...

Most Holes Played in 24 Hours

Hi All! Just bringing to your attention that currently my buddy Mike is making a run at most holes played in 24 hours at Pyramids DGC (home of Marshall Street Disc Golf)! He has to average 2 holes a minute, so they have him on a modified version of the Pink course (holes ranging from around 70 -...
