Headed to Reno by way of San Diego/Los Angelas/Sacremento

A few courses in the Sacramento area to check out are: Orangevale ( solid course, but can get very busy after 1000), Rocklin (nice, but not imaginative. long, but it's just a hyzer heaven course) Auburn (one of my favorites. Last few holes are hard to navigate), Grass Valley (another solid...

    Grip EQ A Series "Fit"...

I have a glass back and have found the Grip takes away a lot of post round pain. Keep it high and use the chest strap. If you want a bag for ultimate comfort. The Mahal fits the bill. Kind of a pain to set up and adjust the yoke, but once it's dialed in. It's very comfortable and I tend to carry...

College of the Redwoods or Humbolt State?

Thank you all for the info. humchris, I'll be heading up on the 5th, but not sure if I'll stop in then? Just depends on when I hit the area. My for sure day is the 10th since I'll be passing through there in the morning (approx 1100 to 1300). Just depends when I leave Brookings? If my friends...

College of the Redwoods or Humbolt State?

Will be heading up there next week and had a couple questions. So is it correct that the back 9 is pulled for winter at C of R?. I heard that HS has more signage up. So do you think I can navigate it (1st time) or do you still need a guide? I also saw that there are three nine holers in the...

Oakland, SF, Petaluma- Xmas in California

lol! ya I was done with that course when some dude was "sun bathing" (ya right) in a thong lol!!! They don't call it Bazerkely for nothing. If you have the time, you should really try and hit up Skyline, Stafford, and GGP. Those are the only true courses in your area.

Oakland, SF, Petaluma- Xmas in California

I was going to go play GGP on Monday (29th). If your still around and haven't played it yet. I'd be happy to show you around the course. IMO it's the best course around. Although some may say Stafford or De La are the tops, GGP is it for me. All be out today, but pm me if interested.

Oakland, SF, Petaluma- Xmas in California

Sorry, back again. Sounds like you're near P town (petaluma). If you like to have a few drinks? Moylins has some decent food, but great beers. Their barley wine (don't let the name fool you) is the best I've had. Enjoy!

Oakland, SF, Petaluma- Xmas in California

Oh, You might know this? Stafford and Skyline are pay to play ($5.00). GGP has random doubles on tues @ 2:30 pm. Can be fun or you can get stuck with a whiney pro, who would kick the dirt and sometimes his bag :-/ OK, 1 bad time out of 100+. I'm sure you know how random doubles can be :-) Wish...

Aquatic is nice, but a disc eater (water) when the wind is cranking, but tends not to be an issue this time of year. Depends on how far you want to drive? If you do, your best bet is a fun day in Santa Cruz (2hrs south west). De La, Pinto, and Black Mouse are about 20 min apart. Plus you can...

    Ergo & Grip A series SiZe ?

I have the "A" and the 1st Ergo. Grip wins hands down in disc # and storage. However, if you stack the discs on their side and just use the top 2 to 3 sleeves in the Ergo. You can fit more discs than the Grip, but then you have even less storage since puting the discs in this way will wipe out...

    Portland area must plays

Couple hours, Dexter is worth it. Roseburg is a BIG stretch, but Whistler Bend is fantastic. There are some courses around the Albany area, but I've never played them. If you go a few hours north. You have SeaTac and for me, it's one of the best ever. I played with the WA state champ (2 yrs ago)...

    [Recommend] Lat 64 Teebird?

Striker would be the closest imo. It's a bit longer, but with a 12x. The flights should be close. Just know I've had several Strikers and they can be all over the place in their flights. The odd thing is the most overstable Strikers I've had were the light ones.

[Innova] Anything better then a Roadrunner?

My set of understable discs consists of The Vulcan, Vision (My RR replacement) and the River. Although the Vision is a tad more stable than the RR. I found it more consistant and longer than the RR.
