    [Discmania] S-Line FD- Flippy?

It is a great disc for a straight forehand shot. I push the disc rather than slinging it, and it stays super-straight, with a mild fade at the end.

    [Latitude] Latitude 64 Maul

How is the Maul on forehand throws? I gave up trying to throw a river that way. It seems to need more spin to glide. I can throw a fury FH, though.

    [Legacy] Legacy Mongoose

Which one seems to hold a straight line longer, between a bandit and Mongoose?

never mind. It doesn't look like anything but icon is available so far.

    [Legacy] Legacy Mongoose

How do the plastics compare in this mold? Any big differences in flight or durability?

    [Innova] Champion Cheetah

The champ and star Cheetahs don't seem as durable as other discs in champ and star plastic. They are much more durable than DX Cheetahs, though. And I haven't noticed a difference in the flight characteristics of Cheetahs in varying plastics, although I am not a very consistent thrower, and...

[Question] Beat in disc, what's affected?

My complaint about "worn in" discs is that they are unpredictable. I'm not sure if that's really true, or if I am expecting the disc to fly like it did when it was new. And no matter what disc I throw, the flight usually doesn't follow my plans.

[Recommend] Understable Fairway - Reliable Turn w/out Burn

Leopard, Cheetah, Archangel, Roadrunner, Fury, Hatchet, Amp, FD (Jackal), Diamond, River. I don't think I've offered any new suggestions there. If you want something that won't beat up and change flight characteristics, the best are the Leopard and Amp. The quickest of those to change flight...

    [Question] Floats or sinks?

You can just fill up your sink with water, and see which discs float. Try it upside down, and push them far enough under so that the dome fills up with water. Or just drop them in sideways.

[Innova] Wraith love - post your stories

I'm hoping as I get used to the disc, I will be able to control it better.

[Innova] Wraith love - post your stories

A couple of years ago I had a wraith and I couldn't throw it. Too fast and too overstable. I just got a 150 blizzard, and it has the highest dome I've ever seen. Lately I've been lucky to get 300 feet on a throw, and today I was throwing that disc over 350. It turns over and keeps turning...

Review by logjammin in course Zebulon Community Park

3.50 star(s) Zebulon The signage is very good. The teepads are ample concrete slabs. Very wide and long, and level with the ground where possible. There is a good variety of holes, and I didn't get bored there. After you make it through hole 3, there isn't too much non disc golf traffic to worry about...

    [Drivers] Predictable understable driver?

Unfortunately the Archangel only comes in DX. It won't last long in the woods. But a new one is great.

    [Drivers] Predictable understable driver?

MVP Amp has been working well for me.

    [Drivers] Predictable understable driver?

A new roadrunner is great. But they beat up really fast, no matter what plastic you get, and then they are unpredictable.

    [Question] Forward Hand Disc Suggestions

Discmania Jackal (FD) S-line is great. Innova Leopard and Cheetah and archon and Beast. Fury and Amp are very good too. I avoid throwing a River forehand. And I avoid throwing a Kite forehand or any kind of putter or midrange disc with a deep lip.

Review by logjammin in course Middle Creek DGC

3.50 star(s) pretty nice place Beautiful forest. Well-defined fairways. Good signs. Easy to find holes. Challenging distance, but no extremely long holes. Not much litter. Friendly people at the park. Some interesting elevation. Too close to the roads on some holes. Basket 18 was on a hilltop right next...

Review by logjammin in course Rock Ridge Park

4.00 star(s) lots of blind holes here There are a wide variety of fairway types. All holes are wooded, but some have wider fairways than others. There are leftys, rightys, uppitys, downys, valleys, zigzags, and zagzigs. Whatever your favorite throw, you'll get an opportunity to throw it here. Although...
