I am planning a PCH trip through WA, OR and most of CA. I do not have any WA or OR courses under my belt and have time to play at least 3 rounds. Anyone have any suggestions for courses that are right along the coast?
My dog is an incorrigible dachshund/bulldog mix and is rarely included in a round of golf because he makes me look like the keystone cops. Not saying he is a without redeeming qualities, he is just not as trainable as other breeds I have had.
He would literally run himself to death fetching...
Will be spending a week in San Diego this summer. Please help me plan for courses
My "budget" is three courses, Morley Field will be one of them. Looking for two more courses and my wish is that one of them would have an ocean view. Please feel free to share any thoughts you may have on...
I had a chance to watch Lizotte, McBeth, Koling, and Feldberg tear up Jones East. That course has humbled me since installation, but they made it "look easy".
DD has had a wonderful impact on the town in many ways. I think my favorite benefit has not been the course improvements both in...
Do disc golfers lose discs? Where bears relieve themselves? Do swimmers get wet? Boxers get punched? All similar questions. Foregone/Rhetorical/Inevitable
edit:
the last disc I lost was during doubles play two weeks ago. my partner threw a fairway and barely cleared a pond. he told me...

This is not good advice. It's okay to play through some soreness, but this is much different than playing through sharp pain. Do not make a bad situation worse by failing to check your ego.
Hole 11 at Peter Pan Park in Emporia, KS has a peninsula hole. Allowing an island shot for people to "go for it" across the pond. Folks who prefer to lay up can drive the perimeter of the pond, upshot the length of the peninsula and putt for par.
I like having the option to lay up.
This is the most encouraging answer. It's great to read about so many people promoting disc golf in their communities. I also agree with the OP's assertion that not everyone appreciates big city life.
Another vote for Emporia, KS.
wind is more of a deal breaker for me than temperature. last year, I slipped on ice and backhanded a tree. I will not be playing in slippery conditions this winter.
I play casually on a somewhat regular basis. When the local country club was opened for practice rounds in preparation for the amateur worlds event this year, my group was definitely on the course.
While I cannot say for sure, I think I saw the kid who won the 13 and under division play...

Jones West
Jones Park in Emporia is a great asset to the community. There are also at leat two other Jones Parks in the area with courses (Olpe and Reading, KS). This particular course, at Jones Park West, has had 36 baskets, over 18 holes, in place all summer long. The east course, in the...
