    Curing Dye

The Goo Gone worked much better than Goof Off; it basically leaves the dye intact. Thanks for the help!

    Curing Dye

In that light, I wonder if the dyed discs could be "freeze dried", which would maybe stop both spreading and color transfer more permanently. I know that they cryogenically freeze golf balls and claim it doesn't have negative consequences for the plastics under impact. Anyone have an extra tank...

    Best mini discs to dye

The white Lucid plastic Judge mini would be a perfect candidate for dye; mine has a raised Trinity logo.

    Curing Dye

I'm a bit of a newbie in this area of the game, but I've been reading the forums quite a bit and have worked my way up to some multi-colored discs using I-Dye poly and Oracal 651 on the premium plastics. During the process of unmasking between different colored dips, I'm getting a bit of...

What's the coldest day you'll play?

Yup. Shorts and Sorel pack boots.

What's the coldest day you'll play?

If this stretch of below-zero weather here doesn't end soon, I'm going to have to play in it. Gotta feed the monster that my disc golf addiction has become...

What's the coldest day you'll play?

It's supposed to get below zero here this weekend. I'm definitely still playing.

The best part of winter golf

The best part of winter golf is that the snow cover makes all of the course construction and maintenance go away until spring. I can simply enjoy playing without feeling guilty about things on the course that need to be done.

The best part of winter golf

Winter golf presents an extended opportunity for me to work on form, both inside and out.

    I am THEY

I am part of "They", as well. I try not to let it get to me when I see people who were too busy to help work on the course play past where I'm working on the course. Everyone has their own different level of involvement, and not everyone is as obsessed as I am with making the course as good as...

    I Can't Feel My Fingerrrrrrrrs!

"Choppers" are basically extra-thick, knit mittens inside of a buckskin or cowhide shell. They are typically oversized. Some of the inside mitts have pockets for chemical handwarmers.

    Going in the water

Although not always intentionally, I have made several excursions into waist-deep water in the course of retrieving a disc at my local course. It was cold and smelly, though, and now I keep more spares of important discs in my vehicle.

    Winter bag set up

My bag gets considerably smaller in the winter. I take out all the baseline plastic and also the Champion/Elite Z-type plastic (the grip gets bad in really cold weather). I throw mostly ESP, ESP FLX and R-Pro--and I take out the faster drivers, too.

    [Discraft] Discraft XL

I love my XL's, both in FLX and Pro-D. The Pro-D will get swapped out for an Elite X in the spring.

    I Can't Feel My Fingerrrrrrrrs!

I'll echo what people are saying about choppers. Gloves are less effective, because your fingers are insulated from each other instead of touching each other. They are easy to take on and off, and a good pair will last for decades if they're not stolen by jealous folks with cold hands!

Review by tkupsc in course Rainy River DGC

3.50 star(s) Progresssing Nicely This new-in-2013 course makes creative and full use of the space available around Rainy River Community College. It has a nice variety of wooded and moderately open holes, and a good mixture of distances with 4 holes over 420 feet (including the 671-foot eighth hole). This is...
