Review by shyguy30 in course Branson Trails - Blue

4.00 star(s) Fantastic Rugged Course * Top notch equipment. Baskets are all in great shape and catch well. Tee pads were solid if unspectacular. There were a couple of holes that could have used a little longer pads, but over all they were sufficiently long and they must have been a bear to install on such...

    Is my grip hurting me?

"First available" is hitting the first tree off of the tee box.

DGCR Current Top 10 Personal Rating

I would rank the ones I've played as follows: Harmony Bends Rollin Ridge Harmon Hills Idlewild Selah Lakeside Bucksnort Flip City Blue Ribbon Pines I really enjoyed Moraine and would slot it in at #3 personally. I would also put Bailey in my top 10 somewhere.

Review by shyguy30 in course Edmund Orgil Park - Original

2.50 star(s) Solid, park-style course -Nice tee pads and very good signage -Some picturesque holes along the lake and through some light woods -Enough distance to challenge most players and enough trees to provide obstacles -Long walks between several holes -A few tee signs missing -Some of the holes seem...

Review by shyguy30 in course Moraine State Park

4.50 star(s) Thank you sir, may I have another? This review is based on a white-level player playing from the blue tees: Concrete tee pads are spacious and grip well, baskets are all in good condition. Tee signs with pin location indicators on most holes (see cons). 3 pin placements on each hole...

The inevitable 2020 Pros switching sponsor/DD hate thread

If you hover over where it says TBD, there are 2 players they are still negotiating with. So it will be at least 10 players with the potential to expand to 12.

Lloyd Weema article in Ultiworld Disc Golf

Highest finishing sub-900 rated player was 178th in advanced division, so I'm not sure that is a great example. Again, we are talking about someone playing versus having unfilled spots.

Lloyd Weema article in Ultiworld Disc Golf

This rule is just one more bullet point in the argument that the PDGA doesn't care about lower-rated players. They should be grateful they get the opportunity to volunteer at tournaments and have touring pros come within earshot of them once in a while so they can hear the pros' complaints.

    Proper etiquette when finding discs?

I was playing on a day when the course was a real quagmire and my tee shot on the last hole ended up perched precariously on the bank of a creek, with something like a 12-foot drop to the water below. After I slipped in the mud and almost ended up in the creek I left the disc lying where it was...

Now get those sub-800 rated players off my lawn so I can revel in how amazing it is being a professional disc golfer without those types hanging about.

Review by shyguy30 in course Blue Ribbon Pines - Main

4.00 star(s) Bit of a Letdown - Equipment is top notch. Tee pads are fantastic and baskets are all in great shape. Fairways are well-defined and cleared. It is obvious this course is very well taken care of. Signage was good although it got a little confusing around holes 9-11. Benches abound if you are into...

Review by shyguy30 in course Central Park

3.00 star(s) -Good variety of hole lengths and shapes, especially on the front 9 -Several pin placements that take full advantage of the landscape, particularly 5 and 17. -Well-maintained park -Nice tee pads -Back 9 seemed to get redundant as it runs down one side of the creek and then back (creek was on the...
