Recent updates of Yellowstone Disc Golf courses

Oh hi. The only one I would even recommend giving a shot in the park is the George Anderson Course at Lake Yellowstone. It might be fairly easy to find a guide, or follow the map. It's not a great course, it's more to keep the employees entertained and provides an opportunity to throw some...

    Biggest Disc Golf Pet Peeve

Easily my favorite is the giant glob of 6 or more golfers that take FOREVER on the tee, but once they see us coming from behind they all tee off lightning quick, only to stall like crazy on the course again. F- you guys. You guys are playing super slow anyway, who cares if you let a two-some...

    New California courses update thread

FYI Mt. Waterman in the Angeles National Forest is advertising a '27 hole disc golf course' that is going to open with their chairlift, hopefully in the next couple of weeks. Hope we are more pleasantly surprised than Baldy's offerings!

Thanks for posting that! I definitely plan on getting up there in the next few weeks...looks like a fun, albeit incomplete alternative to Sky High.

^You are right about that, it IS a ski hill. You will probably want to get up there before October.

    New California courses update thread

The only info I have is: The course is at Mt. Baldy Ski Area It's somewhere in the 'notch' area, accessible by a $25 round trip lift ticket on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Based on that map, I believe it's along the run they call 'Roller Coaster.' I have tried communicating with them but...

    The Great Outdoors....

You have to be careful out here in the wintertime because the poison oak often 'dies.' When it is 'dead,' it just looks like a pile of sticks. Unfortunately, it's still very much alive and that little pile of sticks can be very evil. People have a tendency to step on them or retrieve their discs...

Disc Golf on Ball Golf Course

I can tell you that on a smaller par 3 course like Verdugo Hills, the ball golfers and disc golfers play at just about the same speed. What is the BG par of the course you have to work with? DeBell is a tiny 9 hole that is played mostly by families and recreational golfers. Again, they...

Review by Danger in course Thunderbird-Paseo

2.50 star(s) Good local course Easy course to navigate with concrete tees, big easy to spot signs, and descent baskets. The course is built in a large drainage canal and incorporates the sloped sides into the design as much as possible. Shots vary from quite long to a few shorter technical shots. Many...

Review by Danger in course Fountain Hills Park

4.00 star(s) Ideal park course Large, spread out course with calm scenery. Course is so spread out in fact that I think it deters crowding, although the day we were there we were one of two groups in the entire park. Each hole provides a different challenge, which is good because redundancy drives me insane...
