You could always throw it with less spin, but that will kill distance and be less accurate.

Just as an update, I played my first full round today after trying more hyzer release. It does work to hit lines and to keep the buzzz from flipping too much! I was able to park with both my comet and buzzz a 400' slightly downhill hole (maybe 6' downhill total) and the buzzz flipped up, stayed straight, and faded predictably. Odd. I really focused on keeping more of a hyzer angle on release.
