PDGA ratings are up. How'd you do?

Moved up 6 points to a whopping 839. Next update should have three, maybe four tourneys included so hopefully I continue upwards.

On another note, my 9 year old daughter got her FIRST EVER rating today at a 359.

359 That is nuts. I feel good about my rating now. :popcorn:

No new rounds on... No new rounds off... But dropped a point. Looks like an adjustment to the Louisville Classic ratings from March - Looks like each of my rounds dropped 8 points - weird. That tourney still shows 0 PDGA points earned for everyone although it went official the previous update.

Yeah, I had some tournaments from last fall that were adjusted several points with this update. Not sure why.

The adjustment from initial rating to official rating has always confused me a little bit.

I had 14 rounds become officially rated since the last update (or have their ratings adjusted for whatever reason).

(initial) -> (official) = (delta)

Tournament 1 (first course):
960 -> 963 = +3
971 -> 963 = -8
Tournament 1 (second course):
974 -> 970 = -4
964 -> 957 = -7

Tournament 2 (same course, separate pins for all 3 rounds):
976 -> 969 = -7
982 -> 980 = -2
966 -> 959 = -7

Tournament 3 (separate courses):
957 -> 956 = -1
975 -> 971 = -4
943 -> 942 = -1

Tournament 4 (same course):
935 -> 917 = -17
985 -> 970 = -15
963 -> 953 = -10
972 -> 979 = +7

Out of 14 rounds, 12 of them were adjusted down, and a few of them significantly. I went from averaging 965.9 to 960.6 for those rounds. I was a fan of that 985 round until it lost 15 points...

Anyway, overall rating +1 to 950. Still have some bad tournaments from last year to get rid of.

^^^I noticed about the same percentage of declines from provisional to final ratings on my rounds, and there were 17 of them. I was expecting to climb about 6 points overall, but it amounted to only 1.

Up 10 to 962.

Finally dropped bad rounds from last year, and I've been shooting much more consistently over the last 9-12 months. Still a handful of rounds in the low-ish 900s, but mostly 960-980 with a few 990-1010.

I understand some of unofficial to official adjustments. Weird thing was mine had already been official and then changed (-8 each round). Odd things happen in the ratings world!

915 to 935. Can't wait to Do Work this weekend and get past 940 for the next update.

I found an error on the TD report for Tournament 4 listed above. I'll refrain from complaining any more until that is fixed. It should knock that -17 and -15 back to a more reasonable adjustment.

Moved up to 916.
Thankfully, they dropped my terribad one round.

The goal is over 920 by the end of the season.

Played in three tournaments between last ratings release and yesterday and none of my rounds made it on this update. Damn, thats too bad. Still sitting at 850.

The date of the update doesn't matter at all. It's the date of the deadline for submission to be included in the update, which is usually three weeks prior to the update.

Case in point, the deadline for this week's update was actually the date of the last update. So anything played between the last update (June 24) and now never had a chance to make this update. Those events will, at the earliest, be included in the next update on August 26th (the deadline for which is August 5).

I went from 878 to 943 and received enough Pepsi points to buy a jet. Too bad I have to wait until September for my next tournament :(

Copy that. Thanks for the info. I figured when I looked at submissions dates that two of them wouldn't make it.
