[Discraft] esp comets comin again!

There were more pink ones this morning.

Btw. Tri... U might want to stock up. That 19.99 price tag will be looking good to u down the line when theyre completely out and going for 28 bucks again

Not sure how long I will be throwing these, but considering how fast this run has gone, I wouldn't be surprised if discraft made regular production ones.

Had a friend grab me 4 from the factory.. at least that's what he tells me.. I'll believe it when they show up on my porch

Shot in the dark: Does anyone know if any of the brick and mortars in S.E. Michigan are stocking these? I called CJ's about a week ago and the dude hadn't heard anything. Throw Shop in Ypsi, maybe? Up In the Air?

I dont see much profit being made anytime soon since they will probably be available on ebay or online elsewhere for around $20 for months to come. Maybe in a year they will be worth $25-30 but is it really worth $10 profit to hold onto them for a year? who knows maybe they will be in regular production by then or even worse in flx or cryztal, etc plastic.
I bought 5 but plan on going thru 2 of them in the next year or 2.

anyone know how long marshall street usualy takes shipping to midwest areas

marshall street ships extremely fast, I would say 2-3 days(to michigan anyways)

stupid price. I was planning on being content with my z comets, but noooo, 13.99 makes me get 2 of them.

(shoot, could probably sell them on the course for what i ordered them for)

X Comets are as good as, if not better than ESPs for this if you don't want to shell out the cash.

Cool, but while I can get them for a few bucks more, I might as well grab an ESP or two...then I can probably sell them for atleast break even when my wife tells me I have too uch plastic ;)

Got in 3 175g 'Light Red' from marshall street. They're really pink. Did some field work with them and some 173-175 Fuses to compare to.

I need to say that the Fuse has always been a mold i've had trouble with. For whatever reason, i'm very inconsistent with them.. opto and GL. I can't get that perfect straight throw as much as i like and usually end up hyzering too much and throwing the thing off the fairway. And on a perfect drive, 250 is the distance limit (where i can hit 300 with cores easily and accurately).

The esp comets have more dome than the fuses, and for the first time i noticed how much taller the rim is than the fuse and have a harder time gripping the comet. The ESP plastic has way more flex than GL or Opto. Not sure this matters much.

So i found i can throw the Comets decidably longer than the fuses out to 275+ easily and consistantly. Maybe because they're new and have that newness-stability to them. Hyzer flip is nice and easy. Hanging a high hyzer is easy and high anhyzer is even easier. I'm real impressed with these. I got three of them and i hope Discraft decides to make normal production.

It's rare that Discraft replaces Lat64 in my bag, usually it's the other way around. But for me Horent > Pain and LE Comet > Fuse.

yeah i had the comet and fuse head to head for a little while. the lat 64 plastic is superior but i found the comet to be much more useful and workable. i get more distance with the comet and find that im able to hit my intended lines far more often with it as well. plus, i hit my first ace with a comet. comet wins.

Got mine yesterday and this is the best comet I have ever thrown. It lives up to the hype. Can't wait till it seasons a little bit

Has anyone noticed that the new edition ESP Comets use a different mold?
My old LE ESP Comet has "Comet" and address and Patent info molded on the back.
The "new" LE ESP has nothing on the back, smooth as a baby's behind back there.

It's domier than the old, too.
