SPOILER(?) - foot fault & hazard penalty, Santa Cruz Masters Cup

So how *should* this have been played? I would hazard to guess from my reading that Ricky should have incurred a one throw penalty for the foot fault, then played from the hazard with no penalty. That doesn't seem right intuitively, but it's all I can come up with.

    Kansas City brewery recommendations?

Flying Saucer in P&L is probably what was referenced earlier. Yardhouse is fine, Flying Saucer is better. As far as breweries go, a number of smaller breweries have popped up in the last couple years. If you're near Waterworks you should go to Cinder Block which is just down the street. Not...

Review by coopera in course Lakeside Hills DGC (Birdland)

4.50 star(s) Lakeside Hills In a few short years this course has transformed from playing and appearing pedestrian to one of the premier courses to play in Kansas and the Kansas City Metropolitan area. It is among the longer courses in the area and successfully uses some of the sparse treed areas and more...

Review by coopera in course Devens - The General

4.00 star(s) Really good mix of left/right/straight shots as well as uphill and downhill. Fairways are challenging, but fair. Rough has chances to escape in most places with great shots, just the way it should be. No tees yet makes some of the shots even more challenging than otherwise might be and makes...

Why don't Tournament Directors get paid?

Maybe even set some sort of limits on it or something and tie it to payout to encourage securing a high payout. Definitely should be something that is considered though.

    [Question] Best Superclass Discs (Distinctions)

I ordered a Te Moko from some advice from some other members of my club. Is the Bite the same as the 235 mold and, if so, would that mean that it is necessarily approved already? I like my Ultra-Star but am just wanting to try some variety.

    [Question] Best Superclass Discs (Distinctions)

I've tried searching and found little information directly relating to my question. So, here goes: What discs are 'best' in superclass play? I've heard Zephyr is sort of the gold standard but not having thrown almost anything besides an Ultra-Star on the list I don't even know what to try to...

[Recommend] Help me with my next disc purchase! (Please) :)

If you like overstable drivers I would give the Giant a toss. I feel it compares favorably to some of the beefy destroyers out there. The DD Trespass is a good one too. Not overstable, per se, but a really nice flying disc. And if you want something super-beefy, get a Stiletto. Not a disc for...

[Compare] Would like to try out a one company bag.

The Lat/Westside/DD lineup is great. I like their discs because I think they have better grip and glide than other discs I've thrown. Plus you can find some really awesome and unique looking discs.

    Kansas City Wide Open

It isn't that it is a PDGA event it is that it is an NT. NT's, A Tiers and other supertour events are held to a higher standard. And I don't think you quite understand casual water.

[Question] Disc for Wooded Course Driving

You might consider the DD Escape. For me they fly slightly understable but have a tremendous amount of glide and distance. A little less power or snap or nose angle and you can get them to go R-L.

[Question] Destroyer that's not a destroyer

I concur with the Giant suggestion. I used to throw the S/DS Destroyers and this thing is about the closest I can find to those. Beefy but not unthrowable. If you pair it with the Trespass which is comparable to a slightly beat (older) Echo Destroyer you'll have most of longer shots taken care...

[Drivers] Understable long range driver troubles!

I'm a fan of the Renegade or the King. Renegade is a little slower and flippier than the King but has a smaller rim and is more comfortable. The King can handle all your power and go crazy far.
