AHA, i wanted to get in touch with whamo to try to figure out the ultimate roller disc...
but now i see plastic technology called polymorph! plastics that melt in 140F water and harden at room temp.

So i'm probably going to order a few kg of this...
anyone in detroit metro area interested in a box of 20 or so broken/cracked/ pieces of discs ? i was saving them to make a "disc golf" sign out of broken plastic, but never got off the ground. I figure just cut them into shapes for letters and nail them to something weatherproof.
or is there...
random thoughts:
some baskets run close up to water hazards. on purpose or should these be moved a bit further away?
trash cans. maybe offer people trash bags or doggie bags too. if dogs are allowed its nice when people pick it up.
maybe ask the bar to do everyone a solid and only (or...

sun wind and fishing? *12 hole review*
included maps are easy to read. a few more arrows on baskets will probably come when the course is finished.
brand spankin new baskets. free to play. brush and grass mowed well. good use of obstacles and trees. only a fwe bushes, not much chance of losing...
i'm going to drop my roller info, maybe it helps someone. i have about 8 years roller experience. roller is my main throw since i was getting pain in my shoulder doing backhands and then pain in my elbow doing forehands. now i drive with my roller, then up/putt with a forearm or backhand...
oh man. i much prefer a seasoned discraft basket to the chastity belts. spits and pass throughs? that will put hair on your chest, boy! better start dropping in instead of firing rockets! work on that accuracy, speed, angle and approach.
anyone can sink one into a chastity belt, if you ignore...
hmm,
could you update the location info with that news? this is michigan, we play wind, snow, sleet, rain, hail, lightning... having a course closed in winter/spring is something that should be mentioned in the course description. :)
wait, does this mean we can park elsewhere and walk in...
new question, how come the midwest likes disc golf so much?
why does new england hate disc golf?
is it age related? is it states that spend more or less on parks?
are there other activities that draw in more people in those states? competetive tree climbing maybe?
why hasnt montana gotten any...
probably depends on the state, and how many different designers or the age of the courses?
michigan east coast is different than west coast. steep hills and woods vs low rolling hills.
also, i havent played in the upper penninsula yet, but i'm assuming thats different.
bigger states like...
now i'm thinking in my head how to make a kind of course out of it, so it does not get stale.
maybe some poles in some buckets to use as mandos.
one basket at each end of the field.
everybody throws and then we walk to the basket and from there throw back to the other basket around the new...
well the $225 was to rent the 100yard field. they have smaller fields that could be used for putting only and would cost less.
60y or 100y field would open up to nice sized throws. assuming frisbee is allowed there.
called high velocity sports (indoor soccer) in canton, said renting the big field costs $225.
so we'd need 20 people paying $10 to play?
not sure if he said frisbee was allowed either, guy on phone was confused.
yeah i'd +1 for comet too. its pretty gud.
my friend swears by the old stratus (the old old plastic dx? not -d or -x or -z). its a notoriously straight disc, if you are used to putting any kind of skew on your throws, this is a bit of a challenge.
i play in a lot of bad weather. i've played in straight up downpours, thunderstorms, snowing, wind storms, 1-3 inch snow.
but 1 foot of snow? no, cant do it. i'm either blinded or wind chill'd or the plastic is too cold and it shatters or my hands are too cold, no grip, incorrect friction...

JACKSON, MI – Discs could be flying at Ella Sharp Park as early as this summer as administrators continue to work toward building a disc golf course on park grounds.

flat open course with good tree obstacles
well mowed , well kept, clean, easy to find disc
very low cut grass means this is a perfect roller course.
good beginner course, with some good tree obstacles.
might be some non golfers in the golf course area.
