Dave is a bit of a fast talker. He is very animated about discs and disc golf. I don't know if only throwing one brand of disc is ruining disc golf but, I do agree that throwing what works for you make sense,irregardless of brand.
JK Pro Aviar have a very nice feel. A bit more overstable than a regular Aviar Putter. A very nice disc that is worth checking out.
Gateway Magic soft is dead on straight and nice plastic.

No Aces to date. Been playing a little over a year. However, I play a course regularly that does not give up aces. I will not give up!
My son who has been playing nine months has two aces!
I have a Champ Eagle X 168g that is a very straight flyer. I wish is it was a bit more overstable at times. I also have a 174g that is a bit more overstable but not much.
Possibly he bought it used. I have several disc that I bought used and I blacked out the old info and put my info on. I even feel guilty sometimes doing it because people may think i did just what you are suggesting. But then I know i didn't so all good :D
Unicedmeman show me what you are talking about here next time I see you. I really like Champion plastic but it is sometimes too slick. Champstar sounds sweet. :D
I use my JK Pro Aviar for approaches w/in 100 ft and for putts that need to go around obstacles. I use a Gateway Magic for straight away putting. Straight as an arrow with very little fade.
How would you rate these stability wise.
I have all four and stability is as follows least to most.

I didn't expect my TL to be the most overstable, it also the most beat in although all are fairly new
I also am Very happy with my DB-5. Very Sturdy and it has been out in the elements for about a year now and looks and works like new. No sharp edges or bad welds on this one. :D
Well I guess I need to head to Seattle soon. My wife's sister lives in Seattle and I have visited a couple of times and loved it. Unfortunately I did not know about disc golf until last year so I wasn't able to enjoy any courses in Seattle.

However, why are they almost always max weight???
I don't like throwing max weight. Am I thinking wrong here???
