I got a couple of x5 when they came out and were sent out to the team. I really liked the mold. For me when thrown backhand (which is not my predominant throw nor do I have as much power that way, probably 425max) they flipped to flat nicely. Keep in mind I also live at 5500ft elevation so discs...
Just a term I use to describe making money off of ams. I know many players who have enjoyed the events and the Next Gen concept, but it does turn a healthy profit so the organizers are not doing this out of the goodness of their hearts simply to grow the sport. It is definitely a decent business...
Feldberg runs Next Gen as its own LLC. The LLC is what pays the monthly payments on those cars that they give away. He's gonna focus on that and continue what has been a fantastic am scam that has made him some good money and given him security in the game without having to compete at the...
The most simple way to explain it is, higher number= higher quality/more durable plastic. If the number has a "G" behind it, its a bit more grippy than without the G. Not sure if that is the official explanation, but its pretty accurate.
I guess disc golf is the only sport that needs to name their equipment after animals or mythical monsters in order to be cool enough for people to buy them. Take ball golf for example, standard clubs, 3-9 iron ect, but the club names read like a model number. Taylor Made's new irons arent the...
Sucks losing Uli, although I could have told you that was going to happen months ago. The new dude in the video is going to be a fantastic pick up though! Excited for them to reveal it to everyone!
Zach was with Prodigy a few years ago before Lat took a bunch of people. From what I hear and like I said who knows how far back in this thread, Lat is downsizing their roster for sure and cutting bonuses and perks for their sponsored players. I don't know Zach personally (he came to my event a...
And for those of you on the Prodigy Dump wagon, I can also tell you that our team is getting better for next year, and we most definitely aren't cutting our middle of the road pros (like myself and RJ on this board). The company is doing well both on the course and business wise.
My best guess on that one (as I have no association with those companies other than my good friends who are in that situation) is that they overextend themselves when it seemed like every 980 guy in every town got a sponsorship. I honestly don't know the real reason but maybe trying to go for...
I don't know about Ricky, but I can tell you that a bunch of the lower level Lat 64 and Westside sponsored players will be moving and/or cut from the team outright. And this I know 100% to be fact.
Here are my responses as someone who owns a small disc golf company that runs 6-9 events per year depending on the year and a sponsored MPO player

I have a black ace and a real ace in the same round at Sipapu. I also have what I guess you'd consider a black ace where I missed the mando but aced the basket.
The a2 in 300 plastic is pretty soft. It dosen't skip much and is the softest of the Prodigy plastic. The SE ones that they came out with last year in black, white and grey were really soft.
