I just started playing DG last year, shortly after having rotator cuff surgery. At the time, all I could throw was forehand, due to my severely limited range of motion (I couldn't even reach across to buckle my seat belt). At first it would get my shoulder pretty sore, and almost reached the...

Neglected and abused
Bathrooms are close by, and fairly clean. A course map at hole 1, made from sattelite images gives you a great idea of what you are getting in to. Once you get into the woods, there's lots of shade. The front 9 are excellet holes, with well defined fairways, and providing...
My doctor refused to start with the cortizone shot. He told me it would make it feel better, even if there was a tear, giving me a false sense of being healed. Which, could lead to making the injury even worse.

Golf and a good workout
Course is in an extremely well maintained park. Trees are in play on most holes, but it's not like throwing through a forest. Well defined fairways with good signs and flow. Course is laid out so there's no interference with other park activities, except the occasional...

Well maintained and defined
Course is very well maintained, great signs, and good flow from one hole to the next. All but two holes are well placed to avoid interference from other park activities. Plenty of challenges with trees, and elevation changes. Lots of variety throughout.
Hole three...

Crowded on weekends
Tight course, two rounds can be played in less than an hour. First three holes offer somewhat of a challenge.
Once you get past the first three holes, the last six offer no terrain, or natural challenges. It's just grip it and rip it time. During the fall, when I wrote my...
I had a work related injury last year, which resulted in the same pain and conditions you describe. I had a 60 lb box of fountain syrup fall from over head. I threw my right fore arm up to protect my head, and the impact with my arm, pulled it backwards pretty good behind me. Workmans comp...
The worst disc I ever bought, was a Gateway Diablo DT. It flies nothing like I expected it to, either forehand, or backhand. Plus, the dimples in the rim pack with mud and dirt too easy. I have a Groove, and, although my arm isn't enough for it, and it doesn't fly like I expected it to, I...
As others have said, use a marker disc. And, place the marker down BEFORE picking up your disc. Don't ask how I know to share this tidbit of info.
If the tourney is in a public park, where the public is allowed to go about their business during the tourney, ask the TD what the rules are about...
With my arm, fore hand, over the top of the small clump of trees to the left, with my Groove. The Groove, which I almost took out of my bag due to lack of enough arm, has become my go to disc for most holes with a sharp dog leg.

We ordered a printer/camera bundle from Dell a few weeks ago. The day after it was suppose to be delivered, I punched the tracking number into UPS tracking. They said it had been delivered. I had it sent to my wife's work, which is a single office, in a single building, with a simple address...
I would think the smaller basket would really help out on accuracy. I'd be concerned about the durability of it though, but, laundry baskets at the dollar store come pretty cheap. Has anyone thought about visiting a farm supply store, and using an appropriate sized, round galvanized metal tub...
If the course were pretty good, and, as stated, there were camping options available, I think it would make for a great weekend of fun. It could easily attract larger groups from other communities.

I had rotator cuff surgery last June. I just started playing last August, luckily, I don't know how it would have affected my game. I agree with you 100 percent, surgery should be your last resort. There's so much I can NOT do now. It's affected my work (route driver with Coke), my personal...
I've got a set of straps that I picked up at a military surplus store I've thought about dying. They are currently olive drab green, and I just want to dye them black. If you try it, let us know how it goes.
