[Innova] Innova Lycan

It's not a profile pic but I pasted the same URL twice like a dope.
Here's the real product page:

The more info page shows the Lycan right between the Mako and Shark. I'd love to know more about their anti-turnover claim.

The dealer announcement at 5pm Eastern.

Here's the product page for it:

Transform your game. Attack your Mid-Range drives with this birdie-thirsty relative of the Mako. The Lycan has a beefy rim that releases clean. The higher dome produces excellent glide, while the blunt profile provide a trustworthy finish. This disc is designed not to flip, but will hold a line nicely.

why can't innova make something to go in between the roc and gator?

There's not a hell of a lot of space there but obviously Innova is squeezing discs in smaller gaps elsewhere in the line up. I'd be more interested in another overstable premium mid, but it seems Innova reserves that special spot for fundraising with Champ Rocs.

I hear you but understability $ells plastic. I'm sure they'll come out with some overstable stuff again eventually but like you said, they're probably looking for gaps to fill on the othe rside fo the chart.

Sounds exactly like they simply renamed the Coyote.

Same flight numbers, same description basically...or rather, what they describe as the Lycan sounds like they're describing a Coyote.

The older Coyotes had a fair amount (nothing pop-toppy or ridiculous) of dome before they started putting out the much more buzz-like flat-top CFR glow Coyotes.

DAMN YOU INNOVA, WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE!!!!

Clearly they want to be a Buzzz kill....

Seriously though. What else explains it?

This does seem to be their biggest gap. Discraft fits both the Wasp and Hornet in the only slightly larger space between the Buzzz and Drone.

Eh, the Wasp is analogous to a Roc and the Gator is closer to a Hornet than a Drone, at least in terms of stability and power requirement. That gap is pretty much empty at DC too, perhaps the D Zone or D Drone fits in there, but Innova also offers the Rhyno and Pig to wedge in there...

"The word "Lycan" may also refer to werewolves."

I thought that was the only meaning ^^

Those arent gaps, realy.

How many midranges do you need ? With drone - wasp - buzzz - comet you can form every shot easily, and you dont have to work realy hard for it either.

And the rhyno is a putter, how can this fill a midrange "gap" ?

I would say it is more of an answer to everybody going gaga over the Axis and Ibex. Everybody is scrambling for the hot new neutral mid and innova wants a piece of the action.

I guess they are making every thing domey, must be easier for them than trying and failing to produce flat discs. I hate the domey makos, if this is gonna be anything like a mako with a bead they need to produce some flat.
