[Question] What was your first disc(s)? Don't be shy, give details.

Well there is kind of two eras for my DG.

The first era (circa ~1994) I bought a Discraft Magnet, Discraft Hawk and Discraft Xclone (the blizzard Boss of the day)
I played poorly for about 6 months with nothing more than 100' noob hyzers. Had the internet as we know it been around for me to learn some more correct basics at all maybe I would have near 25 years of playing.

Instead...

After a new course put in in my hometown my brother started playing again then got me out there to try again. Went out with him for a few rounds and then bought:
KCpro Aviar
KCpro Roc
Red Star Katana
(Found my original discs in my garage a couple days after I bought these)
Funny enough I was going by feel and flight numbers when I picked out these discs rather than recommendations for discs.
Got on the interwebs to learn how to throw, gained some distance right away and torqued the crap out of that Katana and lost it. Best thing that could have happened for my game. I did eventually buy a new Katana but also bought a star Eagle (lost recently) that became my best driver for at least a year.

DX Shark, DX Eagle and DX Valk. All purchased at Dick's with my n00b buddy's help. I bought the Shark by accident, I thought it was a putter b/c it was white and I assumed white discs would be putters for some reason. My first "serious" disc was a Star Teerex. I used to OAT flick that bad boy into every tree at Castle Hayne.

ultrastar. not only good for ultimate, but the object course around campus. then there were many a drunken friday evening playing a made up golf game in the park, where if you win the hole, you choose the next; fun times making up your own rules for your 'hole'. one of my favorites was holing out by having the disc go down the playground slide.
then a course with actual baskets went in and i bought 3 golf discs (not sure if it was a starter set): avair, roc, viper

played first rounds with a masters 150g

first "golf" disc I bought was Patent Pending" Aero,

still have it!

Discraft Starter Set - Soft X Challenger, X Buzzz, D Cyclone

i wish this was my starter set

really the only starter set i would recommend is the plaz ion and plaz volt starter set play any course with them

When I showed up to play my home course for the first time in 1990 with a giveaway frisbee from a local restaurant, I quickly learned from the course regulars that I needed to pick up real plastic discs from Oshman's, the only place in town that carried discs back then. So the first discs I bought were Innova's Roc, Scorpion and Aviar Putter. Later I added a Viper and XD to the mix. Innova was really the only manufacturer with discs available for several years before Discraft came along.

Pre-golf specific discs: Whamo 165g/141g World Class Frisbees. Then: Midnight Flyers, Kitty Hawks, Discraft Phantoms.

max weight star leopard, followed by a star aviar. both at the suggestion of the friend who go me into disc golf.

Loved the leopard, did not love the Aviar.

My first two discs were a Star Aviar P&A and a Star Mako3. Mako3 did well. It took a while, but I figured out that the Aviar P&A wasn't right for me.

DX Cobra. I would use it exclusively for FH's.

Later got myself a DX & Champion Rhyno, KC Roc & then a Champion Beast. Innova was everything in mid 2000's Greenville, NC. Years went by before I ever filled that gap between mid & distance driver.

First rounds were played with an Elite XL borrowed from a buddy.

First disc i actually owned was a beat-up Lightning #2 slice, which I found in an open field.

I added a 160g 10X KC Pro Eagle a few weeks later and played with that combo for a whole summer, before adding a 10X Roc, a DX XD and a couple of DX Eagles. I bought *gasp* a small Lightning bag to carry my collection, at which point my hucker friends made fun of me for taking frolf too seriously. 16 years later I'm still playing!

175 dx Valkyrie. What a great disc. I've beat it up a ton and it's a great precision roller

Elite X Talon, Pro D Hawk, and Elite X Challenger back in ~2005
(lost the Talon, the Hawk is still around but inferior to many of my mids, and that X Challenger is still awesome)

Shortly later, I bought an Elite Z Cyclone and found an awesome Z Reaper. I can't remember what else I had back then.

First 2 years was with a Whamo 145g World Class Frisbee, then about 7 years later when I found the local club it was a DGA Power Driver and an Innova Ace. I never got an ace with that Ace.

Wonder who has the oldest first disc still ITB?
