Name the hardest and easiest course you have played

Hardest would probably be Nevin NC. It's the most frustrated I have ever been on a course. Honorable mentions - The Bear WI, Iron Hill DE and Nockamixon PA. Still amusingly remember reading the score card at Maple Hill. It was something like Red=easy, Blue=challenging, Gold=good luck! That...

Old Farts Only 40+ (no kids allowed)

For the past several years, I have been playing around with a bunch of new plastic...thinking that I need to stay relevant and keep up with technology. My game has also been slipping. Last year, I went back to a classic bag that fit like an old pair of jeans...

Does drinking alcohol hurt your game?

The only time I don't want a beer is when I already have one. As stated above, I feel a beer or two reduces me to muscle memory and relaxation. Good things. With each beer after that, my game drops like butter slippin' off a hot biscuit.

    What's your 2 shot distance?

Love this question. Started playing in '88 with my dad and brother and we had a mantra that I still repeat today, regularly - "It's all about the second shot". That mantra probably has more to do with par 3's but this is still good stuff. 250 is the sweet spot for me. At 250, I am very...

Lapping Memorial DCG in Clarksville, IN

Appreciate the input everyone. Sounds like I'm going to have to hit Lapping. Planning to team it with Wendell Moore, New Albany DCG and Buffalo Trace. Already played Iroquoise, Severin Lang and Charlie Vettiner. The latter two are in my favorites. Thanks again!

Lapping Memorial DCG in Clarksville, IN

Just curious. Planning to hit a few courses while down in the Louisville, KY region and noticed Lapping Memorial DGC in Clarksville, IN. Looks like 85 DGCR players have hit it with zero reviews? Description says championship caliber. Anyone with info on this course?

Course recommendations: OH, KY, TN, GA, SC, NC

For the OP, however, I would not consider Mt. Airy a quick 3 disc type of course. It is easy to navigate but still has some teeth and it's spread out. Sounds like he is looking for some shorter par 3 courses.

In Memory: The Best Extinct Courses

You played Flyboy right? It closed to the public by Kelly's own choice but that course held the #1 spot when it "retired". My understanding though, is it is still playable under limited circumstances.

    Shoe choice?

Id have to say my favorite DG brand is Salomon (pick your style). Second would be Keen. I don't think they are as comfortable as Salomon but they are built for abuse.
