Did you guys come up with your own blend of star plastic? The cd2's and DDX's I've purchased lately are really shiny.

I like the disc. I agree that it's a stable tern. Flips up, turns without off tracking too much, then finishes. However, the shallow tern rim coupled with this shiny, slick, star plastic is a bit aggravating. It flies very similar to a new pro destroyer, but lacks grip. I think it'd fly 20%...

The grand slams I got are max weight, and nice smooth dome. The stock stamps are domey with the strange shoulder. They appear to be different runs.

Don't get it twisted, I like the new plastic and I love the Roc 3. The only problem I've had with this softer blend is that the flight plate is much more susceptible to puncture wounds.

I've not thrown either, but I've fondled both. While the grip is great, I wondered about the durability. Based on feel alone, I would expect that this plastic is less durable than Innova's Pro plastic, just prettier.

I enjoy the factory flat top KC Rocs. Like has already been said, they are faster and less glidey. They quickly lose their fade and are straight as arrows on a 65% throw. I love them for their grip and accuracy, but there's also room for a stable glidey Roc in the bag with them. The Roc 3 fills...
